What advice do you have for a young buck like me?

The camera was good advice. Get a point and shoot camera and record your live as you live it. You'll appreciate it in the future. While you're working your way into the future, live your life with the end result being no regrets. When you reflect back on the pics in 20 years or so, you'll thank me.
