In the early 80s, the label produced a plethora of the latest Bony M album. Sales didn’t materialize in the quantities anticipated. The label dumped pallets of Bony M records as cutouts for $0.25 each. Turtle’s Records bought a ton. Another song from the album got massive airplay, and Turtle’s sold their entire inventory for $3.33 a piece.
