I think we have talked poetry before, who are your favorites?

E.E. Cummings and Langston Hughes are up there for me.

I also like Robert Browning, but he's very dark
I use "My Last Duchess" and "Porphyria's Lover" for dramatic monologue.
I also use a lot of music, because my students can relate to that.
Don Williams's "Good Ole Boys Like Me" is great, if you give them the background on Joel Chandler Harris and Uncle Remus, John R and Wolfman Jack, Thomas Wolfe, and Hank and Tennessee Williams.

I like Browning. Ginsberg is another.
