I've liked all of Disturbed's covers so far:

Shout
Land of Confusion
Midlife Crisis
Living After Midnight
I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For

Metallica's Whiskey In the Jar, Turn the Page, Astronomy, and Breadfan.

Velvet Revolver - Can't Get It Out of My Head

Romeo and Juliet -The Killers (Not nearly as good as the original done by Dire Straits but a beautiful song nevertheless).

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley

what are you trying to say? that all their stuff was original?

Most of it was.

Hell, their best songs were the original ones... Bron-Y-Aur Stomp, Achilles Last Stand, No Quarter, Rain Song... the list goes on.

Going back to the point of the thread, Built to Spill's cover of Cortez the Killer blew my effin' mind.

well, I was not saying that all of their stuff wasn't their own. I meant anything they did as a cover was awesome.

All pretty great songs here:

Babe I'm Gonna Leave You
Baby Come On Home
Bring it on Home
Dazed and Confused
I Can't Quit You Baby
In My Time of Dying
Traveling Riverside Blues
When the Levee Breaks
Whole Lotta Love
You Shook Me

Johnny Cash's version of NIN's "Hurt" is the epitome of a cover exceeding the original.

Joe Cocker is stoking wild on his cover of A Little Help From My Friends. I specially like the version he did with Phil Collins and Brian May.
