i am going to go totally against the grain here.....the Townend kid could do as much for this young team as any other individual. Long, high booming punts can make an enormous difference in a ball game.....To share a few reasons.... we now have speed to cover, which results in more fair catches, limits the opposing offense playbook, gives our defense the opportunity to be more aggressive....in a team game everyone else listed in this post are worthy of mention, but to pick one, i am picking the punter....

People laughed at Madden when he drafted Guy then figured out he knew what he was doing.

Preston Williams. Call me crazy, but I think he has the size and potential to be the next Megatron. He should be the #1 WR on all services by the end of the year, if not the #1 player overall, in some. Kid is a freak.

Understood, however my point being that if the punter is on the field then the offense has stalled and we didn't score.

No denying that a good punter can flip the game for you.

I was excited about Dobbs last season and wound up disappointed . Given the potential of our freshmen it's difficult not to be excited. Mine will be guarded 'til I see results on the field. :crossfingers:

I'm excited about all of them...but will be ecstatic when they help bring in a ton or so of other commits...McKenzie, Tuttle, and Settle.

I myself am really excited about Cecil Cherry who been committed for awhile. I was in Florida last yr with my cousin and got the chance to see him play and was blown away by his speed and a tackling ability. I was wondering what everybody else's thoughts were?
