Although I would love for her to start, with Harris being a freshman and not playing the level of competition many of the other girls have played in high school or the AAU circuit I wouldn't mind her backing up Russell until she is ready to start. I think Nared should start at the 4 spot do to her ability to stretch the floor and although I wanted Diamond to start at the 2 spot she will more than like play at the 3 spot.
If I was holly my starting 5 would be;
PG-Reynolds (although I would love to see us work her at the wing spot this year)
SG-Middleton
SF-Diamond
PF-Nared
C-Russell
With my first set of subs would be;
PG-Reynolds
SG-Diamond
SF-Jackson
PF-Dunbar
C-Nunn
I think a combination of Reynolds/Diamond or Reynolds/Russell needs to be on the floor at all times. Until Nunn is caught up to speed then it can be Nunn/ Reynolds or Nunn/Diamond. Harris would be worked in slow (she would get a lot of time if we are blowing teams out though so that she is ready for Conference Schedule/Tournament play).
When Nunn is up to speed then you go
Starters/Bench
PG-Reynolds/Middleton
SG-Diamond/Jackson
SF-Nared/Diamond
PF-Nunn/Dunbar
C-Russell/Nunn/Harris
I just don't see too many games where Russell, Nared and Diamond are not on the floor, at the very least one or two on the court at all times. Jordan played 1-4 last year.
And if we see group subs, it will be a long season, foul trouble is the only reason, Mercedes, Nared, Reynolds or Diamond comes out of the game.
