no, but i acquired a love for rainbow trout as elem. school kid when we moved to Knoxville. Dad was avid fly fisherman who kept our freezers stocked with rainbow trout from his beloved mountain streams. His other heaven was Neyland Stadium.

Around here nowadays, it seems to be mostly the native brookies. But I’m with you! I first had rainbow trout as a kid, horse camping on Mt. Rainer. The trout was 10 minutes out of a mountain stream, cleaned, dusted with corn meal, and into a cast iron skillet over an open fire.
