What do board members think is the problem of this team?

Zeigler was better this time last year than he is right now. So the time of year is irrelevant. Also Jahmai Mashack and Julian Phillips seem to be in mid season form. I know Phillips is a different kind of talent, but I think you get my point

I mean....

Comparing the first 5 games, he has more points, rebounds and assists than last year.

Either way, yes.... the time of year does matter. It's absurd to suggest otherwise.

Because he’s getting more minutes now than he was last year

Look at his game logs chief. Outside the Carolina game, he didn't do much through the first 5.

I can't believe I'm even having this debate. I commented on how silly your whole premise was, and here we are...... Good grief.

Maybe it was because he was coming out of his junior year in HS? I’ve likely forgotten more about basketball than you know. Stats aren’t the sole indicator of a players performance and impact on the game. He’s been erratic with the ball and isn’t creating for others in the same manner as he was last year. He’s been good this year defensively, but his offensive efficiency and effectiveness leaves much to be desired. Vescovi also hasn’t been able to throw it in the ocean. Sure it’s still early, but pretending that our guard play through the first 5 games hasn’t fallen drastically short of expectations is you simply living outside of reality

I never said our guard play couldn’t improve. I said it’s silly to compare Ziegler 5 games in to the way he played last season.

It’s as simple as that.

If you’ve forgotten that much about basketball, perhaps you should study up. You seem to be struggling gramps.

Again, I never said he was washed. Just that he hadn’t been himself. He was more like himself today. As was Vescovi and Key is playing up to his potential. Also I’m probably younger than you are

22 turn overs and poor offensive flow - I’d say our guard play is still below par. Our Defense, hustle and rebounding is certainly up to par.
9 of those turnover were from our front court. Vescovi shot better and Zeigler was at least under control a little more

Vescovi playing PG is a problem for several reasons. He's turnover prone trying to do too much, it tires him out, and takes him off of what he does best. I realize we have what we have and have to make it work, but it hampers him. 18 assists to 15 TOs and 31% from 3 thru six games. He was a hero, tonight, in what was his best (most efficient) offensive game.

Plavsic averaging 12mpg 2ppg 3rpg, rethinking your early claims on him?

I like Uros out there throwing elbows and being chippy at the onset. He even grabbed TN’s first 2 rebounds last night.

I wish that stats were kept for which players draw fouls. Plavy is an ideal player to sacrifice if it also means one or more of the opponent’s best inside players are also getting into early foul trouble. Kind of serving as a galvanic anode to save the younger, less savvy players until the refs have settled down a bit.

I saw a post on the KU message board that the poster got “into a fight” with TN’s 7 footer that was running his mouth at a casino last night while giving KU fans sh!t. Uros is awesome.

I think this will be a very good team by the start of the SEC Conference games. We have a lot of new-good players on this team and it take a few games to work out what each one can do best. The second half of the game last night is a good example of what they can do. Look for more progress in our December games are played.

Yep got hurt with a sprained ankle and was out for a couple of games. Two years ago I would not have any idea he would be playing, but he is one of the players who is a positive influence on the team. Am happy for him and what he brings to the team.

Hard to tell since he rolled the ankle and missed playing time. Aidoo appears to have taken a step forward at Atlantis so UP has More competition for minutes. He hasn’t gotten off to as good a start as I hoped. Time will tell
