What do VN GOPers think of the Cheney issue?

I would say both. Definitely the former and some of the latter as well. Political parties are constantly shifting. The south used to vote overwhelmingly democratic.
You may be right. The south shifting R seemed to be slower than what I think we're seeing post Trump.

Probably too much to hope for to have a conservative-libertarian hybrid party gaining an influential foothold.

He’s a former President, so he’s still got cache, but by the end of 2022, I doubt he’s nearly as big a factor.

I hope you're right. My impression is that the party capitulates to him over all else, policy and logic be damned.

We need more than 2 parties IMO, I can see the right breaking up but that would result in the left controlling all 3 branches of government for a while.

I think desantis is gaining the spotlight and will get the big push soon.

He played 2020 well and will have alot of things he can stand on.

Left doesn't look all that much different to me. I'd sacrifice 20 years of lefty bureaucratic loons to have a viable, Constitutional option. But I'm a radical. I'd burn it to the ground if I had the chance.

You might be surprised how many actual people want to burn it to the ground.

Trust me, statistically you arent radical here.

She's not being canceled, they're just voting on whether to remove her from the leadership of their club.
And their "club" right now is the Trump Train. Got to hand it to Trump, he's kept himself relevant and popular within the Republican party. It's entirely possible no one ever really thought of such a scenario in THIS country. Trump has a unique talent that has allowed himself to grift to the top

Removed from leadership equates to cancelled in my book, and at any rate, its as good of a use of the much over-used word as I've see lately.

She is being disruptive. They have a common goal to take back the house but she's out here sounding like the Bush's and won't let Jan 6 go. She has a right to personal positions but in some ways she appears to be taunting the leadership so why would you keep her a 3rd highest rank. Trump is not going anywhere and was POTUS but Cheney is out here sounding like the democrats and is taking the eye off the ball.

Eye off the ball?

So you think either that the ball is continuing mindless worship of Trump or you believe that the key to the midterms is appearing to mindlessly worship Trump.

I don't know. Pick your own path. But sure seems like hitching the party's future to a guy that bases his entire postion on striking fear in his own party can't possibly last for too long.

Depends. If the 2022 elections go the way that it should with a GOP victory in the house and senate, it would be a clear sign of buyers remorse and at least some hope that the election situation is fixed. If those things occur and he's still banned from Twitter/social media, he will be back.

I hate to tell you this, but you'd have looked just as obnoxious as someone wearing a hopey/changey t-shirt.
I tend to avoid political statement clothing which is the only reason I didn’t do it. But I really liked the play on the Aerosmith song. Those shirts were all over Austin TX when it happened. So instead I just bought a tie dyed Keep Austin Weird t shirt 😎

I'll accept the non-ballad Aerosmith reference.

Yeah that was the whole play on the shirt. Like I said they were all over our liberal hotbed. Remember the incident happened I believe at Dubya’s Crawford TX ranch. (Looked it up was actually further south than the Crawford Ranch)
