For me, it's the mix of quantity and quality in the front seven. 8 defensive linemen and 5 linebackers is just ridiculous for one class, and 9 of them are 4-stars. We don't even need all of them to succeed if we want to return to dominance on the front lines. Just have a few develop into impact players, establish the rest as great depth and we're all set.

Watch out, America.

Two things:

1) I feel good about the variety in the class. I'm excited the players they got at almost every position group. WR, RB, DL, DB, etc... All of them are top notch.

2) I'm hoping the lack of drama today, the in-state talent, and the legacy talent combines to make this a class that sticks with UT 4 years. When kids are 'flipping' on NSD (even if it's to us) I always worry they're a little unsure of their decision and as a result might leave when it gets hard (and it will get hard no matter where they go).

I just hope that all of the young men in this class actually stays eligible. Some of the last few classes have made it to campus, but got into trouble and got kicked off, left, went to jail...etc.

Our defense gets me excited. By far, probably the best defense on paper we've recruited in the past fifteen years.

Everything. I really like all of them, the buzz, the commitment to each other and to building the program back. What you see in this class is a rarity. A program with 4 losing seasons in a row has signed 2 - 5* and 16 - 4* players per Rivals. Top 5. They signed the equivalent of two complete classes of quality players that are academically eligible in one class. Absolutely amazing!!!

The Defensive Line Recruits. 2 win in the SEC, u need 2 control the line of scrimmage on defense and we are well on our way 2 doing that again with these young studs. Plus, I'm so glad we held on 2 Hendrix, I think he will be the best DE we've had since Parys Harelson, and that was a while ago

They ALL seem to be good kids. The worst thing was grade concerns on a few. Great young men, with great attitudes from top to bottom.

A commitment to something greater and bigger than any individual at UT.

Refreshing to see what looks to be a valued bond between these young men who hopefully can experience the best years of their lives here and bring the wins, many wins.

I think the thing I'm most proud of with this class is the fence that CBJ has built around our state and brought in all of the best talent we have. This should be the case year after year after year after year! These kids are talented and should bleed orange, which means they will sell out for Tennessee every Saturday.

The three headed monster at running back! Hurd, Paulk, & Scott = Lewis, Stephens, & Henry

I think the biggest thing I love is the chemistry all the recruits have, and that they seem to be gelled already together behind a singular purpose. Reminds me of one of those World Series winning teams that maybe isn't as talented as the Yankees, but just has that certain chemistry in the locker rooms that exudes out onto the field.

But, from a more technical standpoint, I love the breadth of coverage of all positions, talent, speed, and putting up a wall around the state. This is the first year I can remember that SEC big boys didn't go in and readily get TN's best to go elsewhere. We locked up 7/9 4* players, and 9 of the top 15 in the state, with a great kicker to boot (kickers never being ranked high enough to be high star players).

Couple items of note:
-great to be the top ranked recruiting school in the East after the year we had. That deserves big kudos! But, man...Bama. SIX 5* recruits, with an almost 4 avg star ranking. That is insane. And we play them every bloody year. (long exhale)
-Anyone notice UK got 10 4* recruits and is in the top 20? Anyone a little concerned? Not necessarily about a loss next year, but about this being a harbinger of things to come? Or, is the general consensus that Stoops can recruit, but they're still going nowhere? And if so, why?

I love how we could pretty much have a solid team based ONLY on the last two classes... job well done coach!

We got 17 four star players more than any other school. If you add five and four star players only Bama got more 20 to our 17. That is from the Scout list. To add Scout considers Sawyers, and Owen Williams three star players everyone else says 4. If you add what we did at the skill positions we look awesome. Need a QB to step up.

What I love about this class is that there is a clear intent to build from the inside out. I have always believed that line play is the most important thing in football. CBJ understands that scoring points doesnt mean anything if you can't keep the other team off the board so the sheer quality and volume of defensive talent is going to end up with UT having one of the best front 7s in football in about 2 or 3 years, mark it down. It's an exciting time to be a Vol.

They honored their verbal commit. I understand that teenagers are prone to changing their minds and I don't see this as necessarily negative. However, I think this class knew what they wanted early and have been anxious to sign and get started in their journey as VFL. Can't wait for September.
