What do you think avout Uros?

Uros should be watching countless hours of Josh Harrelson game film and modeling his game after that. Harrelson wasn’t that athletic, but man, he had all the big man fundamentals down. Uros is about 2” taller, though.

Uros is definitely serviceable. I like his passion. He needs to improve his strength and play a little more above the rim.

YES! With emphases on his legs. With more strength, maybe he could jump higher than the 6'4"or 6" guys that are out jumping him on many rebound plays. His offensive game will never be more than "helpful", but as the tough guy, a great asset. (that is if he quits worrying some much about fouling)

Boy that name is a blast from the past. Had a night class (Educational Psychology) with Dan, Dale Ellis and Willie Burton. Remember Dale was a super nice guy along with the other 2 as well.
Ellis and Burton did a short exhibition at the middle school I was attending. Basically put on a dunk contest for about 15 minutes and then signed autographs. Both seemed like great guys. Can still hear John Ward calling some of their games in my head..."Bottom!" and "Tickles the twine"

I think he is a good role player to spell Fulky. Fulky needs to regain his toughness though. We struggle in the paint, and against teams with athletic bigs scoring. BHH may have to grow up quick too!

A star he will never be. However, as a garbage player around the basket he can be quite effective. 8 pts and 8-10 rebounds is doable with his size. Offensive rebounding, put backs, making free throws, setting good screens, protecting the basket should be his priorities.

Something changed with Plavsic right around the winter break games. For the first time since he got here, there were a couple times where I thought huh, Plav might get T'ed up. For someone who spent a while looking like he had no idea he was seven feet tall, that aggression was a nice addition, so long as he knows where to sort of cap that energy off. I still get antsy with his back-to-basket, low post offense; if he dribbles, it's probably a turnover. I mean, it's an eight foot round trip from his hand to the court and back, and the guy guarding him is almost always shorter and quicker, so... Like was mentioned, he's good close in, needs to work on his midrange to account for the whole "probably not going to beat the defender off the dribble" thing. Seems like I've seen him have a couple nice give and go plays with Vescovi lately and he's going to need time working on that understanding with Chandler and Ziegler if he's going to get additional meaningful minutes with Nkamhoua out.

I think you're possibly underestimating how difficult averaging 8 & 8 actually is.

We probably need him to worry about fouling now without ON

He needs to start shooting a few midrange shots, especially free throw line and in. He's not a bad free throw shooter, but he only shoots if it's a layup or a dunk.
He shoots 50% from the free throw line. He also has a little hook he shoots on occasion from the lane.

Uros had 8 rebounds in 17 minutes Tuesday. Extrapolate to 34 minutes and that’s 16 rebounds. Tshwiebwe-type numbers. Not suggesting he is anywhere near those numbers, but this particular game was encouraging.

Not a single thing (about UROS) ... I am thinking about the two 7pm games tonight .... KY @ SC ... and .... Auburn @ Arky!!!
Want to see how Kentucky fairs against the Gamecocks.
Want to see if Ark can run against Auburn.
Of the two ... I think Ark has the best chance at winning.

Not a bad take, from an ArmchairPG.😎
GBO!!

Yeah, I won’t try to put a number on Uros. A few timely, garbage buckets, a couple of rebounds on both ends of the floor, a few hard fouls, set a screen or two that results in points, alter a few shots and I’m ok with Uros.
GBO!!

He's a big ole busier, it's about time as he seemed too nice in the past.
He needs to be a protector in the paint
Currently he seems to have hands of Stone and a 3" vertical. He's still young so hopefully he's not peaked and continues to grow his game and add more muscle.

He’s not young - second oldest on the team behind Fulky

That and he still wants to bring the ball down and even dribble when he’s in the paint - big no no’s for a center
I’ve always heard people to say not to bring the ball down, but going up without bringing ti down is just so unnatural and uncomfortable to me. It’s like take a shot without dipping the ball. Just throws off the whole motion. You can bring the ball down as long as you bring it back up strong and hard IMO.

A lot of opportunities for a “Twss” there lol
