What do you think the attendance will be for Utah St?

102,455....and why have we all the sudden topped out at capacity for the official attendance? Anyone know? The last time our largest attendance was over 102,455 was 2009 Georgia at 103,261...

Because, for the most part, those figures are completely made up.

It seems illogical to announce a crowd over capacity when there are empty seats clearly visible. I get it that it's tickets distributed, but there aren't that many no-shows.

Back when I was a student they issued SRO tickets. I don't think they do that anymore.

I remember having a SRO ticket in '85 when Tennessee beat Vandy to win the SEC. I think the announced crowd that day was over 107k.

All I know is I live in Memphis and there are three people within earshot of me alone that are coming including myself. The timing couldn't be more perfect.

I just went on stubhub and uttix and figure that there about 4000 unclaimed tix in circulation or at the box office. I bet the crowd is just over 100k but not a sellout.

107k in 1985?? That does NOT compute, the stadium was not expanded to that capacity until the mid 90's. In 1985 the capacity was roughly 95k.

Does the concessions workers, ushers and the like count? Seem to remember they used to. It will be announced a sell out.

I was wondering the same but decided to bite the bullet since it's the opener, against a decent team, a televised night game on Sunday, and it's labor day weekend...kind of scared me out of trying to scalp.

I just settled for the cheap seats from the ticket office for $25/each. I got NN row 24, never sat that high which makes me nervous since I'm terrified of heights, but it'll be worth it IMO.

If it's not full enough or loud enough to get a couple of false starts, delay of games and timeouts I will be dissappointed. They say they've played in hostile environments before. Let's introduce them to Rocky Top!

I did the same. I am in LL, ROW 24. Good news is I bought 7 tickets for what I was going to spend anyway, and bringing 6 people who have never been. Win win...
