I had been pro-cuonzo until the 2nd A&M loss which i then decided that firing him would be the best option. My thoughts were that he could not with the opponents left do enough to get back on my good side. He then led Tennessee in destroying our rival, auburn on the road on their senior night, and then a good Missouri team when it mattered most. He at least for now has pushed me back to the Pro-Cuonzo team. That could change with 2 quick losses in the SEC and NCAA tourneys but for those that are Anti-Cuonzo what must he do to get back on your good side?

If he makes the tournament and loses in either a Play-in game or the Round of 64, then I think the decision on him should depend solely on whether or not UT is willing to hire Pearl.

If he makes the Sweet 16, people will stop talking about Pearl.

If he loses in the Round of 32, I think he'll keep his job and get a nice extension, but a lot of fans will be disappointed based on preseason expectations.

Make the tournament. For me to support him? Win the national championship. Basically, nothing. He's a lame duck.

Round of 32 should be right in line with how we were expected to perform before the season.

I have been calling for Cuonzo to be fired since last year after he throwed his tantrum for not making the tournament. I believe he has saved his job. He has won 5 of his last 6 games with three of those wins being blowouts. It would be tough to fire him now. Let's hope the streak of great play continues into the NCAA tournament.

Some (cough cough knowthevols) would still be calling for Cuonzo's head if we won the whole NCAA tournament.

And you're a lame poster.

uhhh then block me sweetheart

ROFL...you "martin should keep his job" posters crack me up. We beat down two weak SEC teams and another team who can't win on the road. Your kidding right? We should have NEVER been on the bubble this season. Martin was never the answer.

:loco: Cuonzo is not getting fired! The ONLY way Cuonzo Martin gets fired is if he commits a felony. Which we all know is NOT going to happen!

Probably saved his job with these last 4 wins but i'm not a fan of his maybe Hart will blow him a big contract we have a great recruiting class coming in no one in top 100 tough to compete at that level

Keep this up.

This team is peaking at the right time. The Vols go as AB goes! If he plays well then I can see sweet 16 or elite 8. They are playing as good as anyone right now in the country. Coach Zo gets them 2 wins in the SEC tournament and to the sweet 16, then I don't think there is any reason to even discuss him moving on. However an early departure in the SEC tournament then 1 and done in the NCAA then we need to fire him and move on.

I'm torn at this point on which way I want it to go! :ermm:

Here's a thought, don't be so extreme either way. Don't call for his head after a loss, and call him the G.O.A.T after a win.

I've said all year, after the season is over judge him, that would've been the smart thing, but too many people want to overreact to every situation.
