No chance of getting it but Tyrann Mathieu is making a statement for a defensive player, he is a turnover machine.

Id have to go with Denard then Lattimore right now. They both are all their teams have and both have won games for their teams to remain undefeated.

Eh...need a few more weeks. Right now there's a few standouts, but I haven't seen enough from everyone yet to form a decent ballot.

agreed that its way too early to tell.

however, rgIII has to be the leader. he has more tds (13) than incompletions (12) as well as being a running threat.

and whats with the robinson love? IMO he has no reason to be in the discussion
granted he's a beast when running, but has thrown as many picks as tds (6) and has a sub 50% completion percentage

Take out James, but in Mathieu from LSU and I will agree with that.

And take out Luck for Griffin III

I think Luck wins it, but if he doesn't he will probably be okay with going #1 in April.

I'll wait until conference play starts for most of these guys before I start giving props.

If the season was only 6 games, Forcier and Robinson would have pulled in 2 Heisman trophies the past 2 years for Michigan

James deserves to be in there imo. i wouldnt mind adding Griffin III and Tajh Boyd to my list either. As far as Mathieu he's very good, but if Patrick Peterson wasn't even really a true candidate then there's no way Mathieu is.

All the wvu fans up here say Geno Smith is the best qb in the nation after this weekends performance and should be a heisman front runner!! Thoughts?

Shocking that they would say that. Smith isn't the best QB in his own conference.
