This video is pretty funny in slow mo. At the beginning you see James Franklin walking onto the field apparently pointing to #36 for UGA and yelling at him. Unfortunately, he was about 5 feet from where UGA DC, Todd Grantham was standing. At about :09 you see Grantham turn to figure out who he's yelling at, realizes it's one of his players and goes completely nuts on Franklin for yelling at an opposing player.

In driving back from Knoxville, I listened to the end of that game. James Franklin said he went out looking for Mark Richt and not any players. Guess that makes him a liar.

The Vandy player, Monogam was no way letting the Ga coach get his coach.

So now it looks like newbie coach-punks are FL's Mus-chump & vandie's Frank-lyn. Let's see if Kommisar Saliva issues letters of reprimand to these punky-boyz.

looked as if once franklin realized that someone older than the kids he yells at daily responded to his action with equal action he became not so aggressive. i guess he was just showing "class". he did not seem to mind that his player got between he and the other coach. the security guard pushed the ga coach with his arm and i dont think that helped calm the situation.

franklin = kiffy. I know,,it's tough to stomach another worm in the SEC. I dislike lame like the rest of you but there is a slight difference between kiffin and franklin. Kiffin stuffs the rag straight in, Franklin stuffs it in slightly sideways and just acts like kiffin.

Pretty sure he was piss off about the cutblocks they were using. It's Vandy. They need all the shortcuts they can get. Franklin just looks like a snake in the grass anyway.

from what I'm hearing, Franklin was way over the top with what he was screaming at the UGA player which prompted Grantham's reaction.

Did notice a couple of Dawgs putting their helmets back on.

Never scrap without it. I never understand why when a fight in a football game breaks out everyone takes their helmet off.

Idiot. Look around you. Everyone elses helmet is on. I suggest you do the same lol.

Word is Georgia safety Shawn Williams walked in the line of sight when Vandy was sending a play into Rodgers in a key situation and preceeded to yell alternate calls to prevent Rodgers from hearing or seeing the play. If that's true I agree with Franklin's anger and I would hope my coach seeks out both player and coach to let them know how bush that is.

It's bush league for a coach to attack a player on the other team. Period. Franklin is a douche.

Why didn't Franklin signal plays in behind his line of scrimmage on the side lines like most teams do? I mean he is the head coach of one of the most renowned educational institutions in the country. Surely he can figure that out..... jack@#%!

It wasn't that he got in the way of the playcall, it was that Williams and one other player where yelling at the coaching staff in the middle of the game. It happened atleast twice.

So basically Franklin just stooped down to the kids level. That's even better.

Again, where have you seen Franklin do anything other than point at the player? Nowhere. He shouldn't have bothered bringing it up with the UGA coaches after the game, but Grantham is the one that actually started all the yellling.

I'm not sure, because the only camera was pointed at his back. I guess he was telling Grantham about what Williams had said. He should have just shook his hand and walked off the feild, but it definately got the team fired up. Which is probably a good thing for the rest of the season.

Somebody made a good point about this on the radio today. Grantham comes off looking like the jerk because of the camera being at Franklin's back. If the camera is on the other sideline, Franklin is probably catching a lot more heat right now.

According to the AJC, the exact opposite happened and Franklin was the one screaming some profane stuff first at the UGA player and Grantham was reacting to that.

Thats not true. A photagrapher took pictures of the entire thing, but of Franklin. He took about 10 pictures of Franklin while Grantham was going off. In every picture Franklins mouth was closed. It's on UGA's scout site I believe.
