So, everyone else has already pointed this out, but you're wrong. You can redshirt any year as long as you've never used one. Hell, Worley or AJ could have redshirted this season (if there was a reason for that that is).

Alot of Knee-Jerks here on Volnation love to rag on our players just because they aren't starting. People wanted Peterman to quit and transfer after one bad game at UF last year.

But, as with most coaches, CBJ seems to prefer experience above potential, and that's just how the QB order is lined up. In order of seniority.

They would rather Peterman take the chance of an injury during mop up is my guess

This has already been pointed out, but that is absolutely wrong. You can use a redshirt at any point as long as you haven't already used it.

Yet, you badmouthed Worley all off season. When someone talks bad about your boy, you get defensive, but it's ok for you to talk about our own players?

you can redshirt during any year as long as you have not taken one previously....you may be thinking about a medical redshirt; that will require a waiver if a redshirt year has already been taken

Peterman doesnt have one complete game worth of experience. Dobbs has game experience under his belt. It was a perfect time to use Peterman as a confidence builder since his last outing was terrible. He needed game action far worse than Dobbs. Plus hes been working hard and Butch rewarded him. This has nothing to do with Dobbs.

Dobbs is not yet ready. Needs to Redshirt this season (and yes he can do that!) He will have his chance next season in a 3 man competition to win the job.
