Oline and WRS suck plus D Samp didn’t really play on offense.

As far as defense Tim banks just got schooled, linebackers don’t have enough depth, Dline is good overrated and safteys don’t have enough talent. CBs played pretty well, they just made some perfect passes and catches.

-- we were outclassed by a veteran team full of 4 and 5 stars.
-- OSU had a better game plan on both sides of the ball. Better coordinators on both sides.
-- OSU came in motivated. Vols not so much.
-- we gave up in the 3rd quarter when we punted near midfield.
-- the reality is TN is not that good. The best win this year was Bama, and Vandy also did that.
-- Vols were lucky to be there. We have come a long way since the Cornbread days, but still not elite.
-- need to recruit and hit the portal to close the gap

Lot of truth here, but we ain't closing the gap in the portal alone. We need better evaluations, better recruiting, better development and way better coaching.

No we need to spend money , portal and recruiting won’t mean jack if your not willing to spend the money

The single thing that could help us most in 2025 would be for Nico to develop some touch and confidence on long throws and outside shoulder sideline floaters. We NEVER connect on those. Instead, he is normally trying to throw a low fastball to a nearly stationary receiver that he can see is more or less “open”. He can develop the needed touch to make more nuanced throws. Just needs practice and work with the receiving corps. He needs to learn to trust them and to trust himself to drop those passes in safely.

Nico is average rn. He plays like a freshman and lacks some basic skills like you say. He’ll improve for sure, but he is not the savior we were hoping for. Glad we have some talent coming in, but we need to vastly improve in all phases of the game. We were destroyed today.
