What is a "fireable" offense?

In certainly has a chilling effect around the workplace.
If I say or do anything at work that anyone takes offense to I can be terminated. I can lose my job for holding the door open for a woman, or if I compliment a woman on her new $100 hairdo. If someone is handicapped and I offer to help them I can be fired for profiling, but if I don't offer to help it is considered rude and I can lose my job for that.

I can listen to a pop station here in the ATL and hear about the same if not worse towards women and blacks. Not sure how suddenly it is wrong for Imus but right to actually make money off of using such language.

There are 3 things I've personally seen that are quaranteed to get someone fired at work:

1. Falsifying time card
2. Looking at porn on the internet
3. Sexual Harassment

Most companies have a zero tolerance policy for those.

Closely behind would be excessive sick leave.

to answer the thread topic, "Eggplant" is not a fireable offense, ever though you are referring to "A Dark skinned Vegtable"

I have a question (and sorry this will side track your topic). Since when did African-Americans take ownership of the words "nappy" and "ho" as derogatory to their race?

I know plenty of white women who are hos and/or have nappy hair.

Good point!

Don't forget about peeing the bosses coffee. They hate that.
