The real test of a UT fan is to wake them up at 3 in the morning and they can quote by position the starting line-up on offense and defense.

I also agree with that statement :good:

Being a TRUE Big Orange football fan is...

--Not being able to sleep before a game

--Not being able to sleep after a game

--Knowing that football season isn't a season, but a year-around way of life

--SIX National Championships (1938, 1940, 1950, 1951, 1967, 1998, and yes, I have those memorized)

--Getting chill bumps when the Pride of the Southland marches

--Knowing all the words to Rocky Top...and Fight Vols Fight, Down the Field, and the Alma Mater.

--Crying when the Pride of the Southland plays Amazing Grace

--Knowing what our nickname REALLY stands for, and being damned proud of it!

--Knowing the Jerry Colquitt injury was the saddest thing you have ever seen

--Loving that "those who stay, play"...and being glad that Tony Thompson stuck around

--Squeezing into your 6 inch-wide seat, doing it every gameday for over ten years straight, and loving every minute of it

--The Vol Navy

--Having General Neyland's Maxims memorized

--The Pride of the Southland

--The Third Saturday in October

--The stop vs. LSU's Billy Cannon in 1959

--The stop vs. Ohio State's Eddie George in 1995

--Having a sore throat for 3 days after an SEC game

--Gus and Haywood

--Johnnie Jones' run vs. Bama

--Jay Graham's run vs. Bama

--The 1938 team that didn't allow a point...all season

--"Paying these prices, and please paying no more!"

--Turning the TV volume down to listen to John Ward

--ALWAYS KNOWING YOUR HISTORY!

--Al Wilson

--Condredge Holloway

--Peyton Manning

--Reggie White

--Realizing that those great players would have never been there without Hank Lauricella, Bad News Cafego, Doug Atkins, Bowden Wyatt, etc.

--Expecting to win

--Tailgating with 100,000 or so of your best friends.

--January 1, 1986

--Willie Gault running "all the way to the State Capitol"

--Giving the Ball to Jamal

--Craig Puuuuu-ki

--The Crossville Comet

--Knowing that the Heisman was a sham since Johnny Majors finished 2nd in 1956....way before Peyton did in 1997.

--Bowl Game Victories

--Being completely depressed and pissed off after a loss on Saturday

--Being fired up and ready for the next game on the Monday after that loss.

--Being in complete respectful awe as Chuck Webb walked off the field with a torn ACL, because he said he would never be carried off the field

--Watching the greatest football in the country...SEC Football

--Expecting the best effort possible out of your team, win or lose

--Being a classy, respectful fan that loves the game of football

--Feeling that the chance to run through the T would allow you to die with a full and complete life

--Typing this post while sitting in a living room adorned with orange posters and prints, most of which were printed before I was born

Though I feel kinda connected to the vols I have played with Riggs at Red Bank High and i feel that i gotta ride out the rest of the seasion with him. Im here to stay with our guys. Its a good team to go for and we have some of the best fans in the game.
