Do the players all still get cigars if they win? Or did that die out???

Yeah, a few years ago there was talk of it being an NCAA violation but both schools continued it after that. Maybe just self report it as a minor or something.

This week it's "the red team". Not sure what they're really called, but I know it's the red team. :)

We dont need a prop to motivate us this week.
Its damn Alabama.
They hate us we hate them.
Fans dont like each other.
Have blood in your eyes.
No fear in your heart.
They screwed up our rock.
Lets go screw up their face and take the national title from them in thier own house in front of their damn fans.
Its little Nick Saban.
Its Crimson.
Its bryant Deny or however you say it.
Its roll tide
Its I f'ing hate alabama!

Come Saturday we walk out on that field and we gonna hit them in the damn mouth. We are gonna bleed. We are going to fight. We arr gonna get knocked down. But when all the dust settles and the smoke clears only one shall remain. One warrior. One coach will lead his team to the greatest victory this year! That warrior is BUTCH BY GOD JONES! Tennessee beats Alabama and come Sunday/Monday will be ranked again.

And the general is smiling......

Now somebody give me a cigar!

We dont give a damn about the whole state of Alabama! We're from Tennessee!

In addition to what's been mentioned above, bammers went ahead and took care of it for Coach Jones.

Actually that tradition began under long time bama coach paul ''bear" bryant. The winner lights up following the game. :hi:

Per Wikipedia:

Victory cigars

In the 1950s, Jim Goostree, the head trainer for Alabama, began another tradition as he began handing out cigars following a victory over the Volunteers.[4] Both teams continued the tradition for some time, though kept it secret due to NCAA rules concerning extra benefits and tobacco products. Alabama publicly restarted the tradition in 2005, though as a result, self-reported an NCAA violation.[5] Every year since 2005, the winning team knowingly violates the NCAA rule and reports the violation in honor of tradition.[6]
