our boys have to believe in themselves they are capable of playing good bb, espn sportscasters are just doing their job they get paid to rip on teams, besides when we make it to the sweet sixteen they will have to talk sweet about us.

I dare say I just witnessed a post of the most opitimistic nature. SWEET! :biggrin2:

there is not a team that is on our schedule, that is not better then winthrop.

Sorry, but you're wrong.

Winthrop is easily better than ETSU, La-Lafayette, Alabama A&M, E. Kentucky, Appy St, Lipscomb.

They are right there in talent with S. Alabama and Murray St.

I think the ESPN-No Respect thing is a broken record. I will never watch another Heisman Trophy award ceremony again and will never forgive ESPN for their role in that whole debacle, but I think they are clearly in love with Bruce Pearl! Obviously, UT had to agree to the Total Access thing, but personally, I'm glad ESPN is giving us this kind of coverage.

Here's my conspiracy theory: the SEC has less large areas of population than the Pac 10, ACC, Big 10, Big East, and Big XII. Therefore, purely on a marketing and business basis, it would be financially beneficial for ESPN to give more airtime to schools that belong to those conferences...Given that, ESPN Gameday still makes it to UT more than almost any other school. I would say that ESPN shows a lot of respect for UT.

then learn to read, message boards arent the place to worry about grammar. Other people thought you were stupid for talking about my grammar too. All messages on message boards are typed in fast. If you take time to read over your posts and make sure they are grammatically correct then get a life.

The entire state of Texas, with cities like Denver, Kansas City, and St. Louis thrown in adds up real quick in a population count.

Geographically speaking, I think California and Texas have more people living there than all of the SEC teams combined.

You know I think old Thomas Edison dropped out of school when he was in the eighth grade. People depend on spell check today as much as they depend on claculators.

Atlanta is the 42nd largest city in the U.S...behind, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, Austin, Ft. Worth, Denver, OK City, and (my hometown) Kansas City.

Texas alone has more population than the south (minus FL, where Miami and FSU get plenty of ESPN love.)

Actually, the All-Access pitch was first made to Gonzaga but their coach turned it down. With Pearl being somewhat of a "media darling", they turned their attention to him and he accepted. Very good move, IMO, because this gives us good exposure and could help in recruiting.

Let's just be happy that the media has given us the best motivational tool that we could have ever asked for. I know it won't help Wingate hold onto the rock, but should help us get back to generating some turnovers and open court opportunities. I don't like our chances against frickin' lawgator in a half court affair.
