What is going on?

Since Saturday I have ascertained the following:

(1) Ainge still sucks. Hyams is on the radio saying that Cutcliffe has been worried about EA since before he agreed to return to Knoxville.
(2) Crompton is not ready to be the starter.
(3) Being an "all Vol" Tennessee kid, like Garrettson, is no guarantee that a player will have respect for himself or the program.
(4) Chris Donald may or may not have made a verbal commitment to ND coaches on his visit.
(5) Coach Cutcliffe says the offense is on page one with less than three weeks to the opener.
I hope Donald does go to ND. With the lack of discipline we have here he would just get into trouble

How can you say that? Crompton was rated top-5 in the country and is supposed to have all the tools of a great QB. I think your conclusion is a little premature.

Stafford was by leaps and bounds a bigger prospect than Crompton, both figuratively and literally.

He does have a valid point
No he doesnt. If Donald is a good guy like most people say he is he would have no problem staying out of trouble.utchatt is acting like every single player we have has character issues based on a couple of guys that are no longer on the team.

what are you, a bammer? seriously you are trying to hard to piss people off:finger3:
I'm just giving you my opinion and my thoughts. I have no intention of pissing anyone of and if I have I do appoligizes. Sometimes my passion gets the better of me and I am just so angry with where our program is right now. Once again sorry if I pissed you off

In my defense the past couple of years we have had more than a couple people get into trouble.

its alright. i overreacted, but just because we had some guys that made mistakes dont mean that he will. every team has guys that makes bad decisions sometimes more than others. but you cant do anything else that CPF hasnt done.

We have had the lions share of people getting in trouble over the past couple of years. Facts are facts, Phil needs to step up and kick a kid off that is not 4th team. These starters think they can do whatever they want and get a slap on the wrist.

Like 4th string James Banks? Should he just do it to make a point or should one of the starters mess up first. I think a pre-emptive strike would make a huge statement, don't you?:tease2:

I am talking about a player that gets in trouble the first time he does something. Banks and Schaeffer got to strike 5 before they got the boot. He needs to become a disciplinarian b/c the players are getting out of trouble. We do not want to be the Bengals of College football.

Schaeffer's troubles didn't warrant getting booted in the beginning. After his troubles became a trend then he was gone. Banks on the other hand was a moron.

Schaeffer also did not fit into our offense and was expendable. Banks had more chances than anyone should ever get. We should have booted him way before the end.

What does it say to the parent of a recruit that we will take care of your son while he's miles away from you? Would you prefer that at the first sign of trouble he get kicked off and not be able to afford college any longer? I think most of these recruiters sell themselves as surrogate parents.

Think of the freedom that the 1st year in college gives you and how you reacted? Now imagine that the whole country is waiting for you to screw up and see how you would have done. I might not have lasted. Kicking them out is not how you deal with all the problems (some deserve it). It makes a statement that your rep is more important than the kids you coach.

I think we would all prefer that they didnt do anything to warrent getting kicked off, bit if you're a scholarship player at ut then you can probably still go to school somewhere else and play ball, Schaeffer, Dewayne Dotson, etc

I guess no one has ever thought enough of you to give you a 2nd (or 3rd) chance. I am thankful for all those who didn't give up on me. I would like for UT's program to be looked upon like that. Who cares what the media wants to write if you're turning out good people in the end.

Richt had David Greene followed by D.J Shockley. It was kind of like us having Peyton and then Tee. It will be interesting to see how Richt and the Dawgs do with new QB's.

I think we will be fine....eventually.

I give Richt credit for actually making Greene/Shockley who they are...god bless Greene but he really was not much from an actual physical perspective (in terms of being one of the SEC's greatest which I dont think he was talent wise).

With that said, the QB problem this year should be solved by the 3-4 game which should be helpful.

I just hope we don't throw in Stafford too quickly.
