Vol fans who continually criticize a coach or player without any foundation for their thinking are just *******s. Plain and simple. There's no need to coin a phrase that gets used broad brush against a portion of the fan base that criticize in a positive manner and try to equate those to the ones who just want to criticize anything and anyone for little or no reason. Just my thoughts.

Negavols are negitive. You are sounding like a wounded negavol...i guess us winning hurts your pride, but it wouldn't if you were actually for our team, and not your doom and gloom pride. No one is talking about football here, but i guess you take negativity to other sports as well. Thompson Bowling should have a travel ban on negavols...as if they actually go to games!

I agreed with Sly's post that every dissenting voice shouldn't be painted with the same brush. You, evidently, disagree.
Not surprisingly, your post was nonsensical. What is "doom and gloom pride" and why would it hurt my feelings when we won ?
Or is that something else that you made up out of thin air ? You know, like that fabricated cancer story.

On a forum site, the labels mean something different than in the real world. A true fan in the real world is someone that will still wear and defend their team colors regardless of how their team performs. Aka Chicago Cubs fans, we finally won the World Series but I still wore Cubs gear over the course of my life while being surrounded by StLouis Cardinal friends(oh, the jokes and crap I endured). I wear orange Tennessee gear regardless the naysayers, because I know that we will win the Natty in every sport someday! That is a true fan in the real world. On a Chatroom: A true fan appears to be anyone that is willing to not voice an opinion on the direction of any sports program unless it is to defend against those that have concerns. Kinda the Forrest Gump approach: the feather in the wind, that we will somehow bump into success and the management is all knowing. They do not believe statistics, results, eye factor, or trends that seem to be leaving their teams behind. That aspect is troubling. On a Chatroom: A negavol, in this case, is someone that voices concerns. Sees that the program is going in wrong direction and needs a change to stop that trend. The problem is spotting the trolls. They muck it up. These are people that love your demise, hate for you to have success, and like to stir the pot for the stench. Those are the three categories that I have seen over my years.

Read your post. You would have been tickled pink with see I am right fire Holly.yep, i posted he had cancer...maybe me does, wouldn't care one way or another, worst things have hapoened to better people. I stated it to get the uconners off a lady vol board and stop stirring the pot. I hope they took it back to their's! Lord knows he started enough rumours about Pat. Doom and gloom pride...enjoying hoping for the worst and then being happy as if you accomplished it yourself. Taking more pride in your own negitive hopes and desires than for the team you pull for...yes...sick stuff ...negavol stuff

You're making less and less sense with each successive post. Here's my original post that you responded to:
" A much too reasoned post for far too many posters here". I was agreeing with Sly about not painting all dissenters with the same brush. From this you concluded that I was a. "wounded negavol" (Interesting that you didn't respond to Sly and label him a negavol too), and that I was
"hoping for the worst". A conclusion that can be reached from my post only by borderline paranoia.
So let's sum this up. I'm a "wounded negavol" because I agreed with Sly's post but apparently he isn't, even though I only agreed with him. You, on the other hand, are a true Lady Vol fan because you advocate preventing all dissenters from not only posting on this forum but also from entering TBA itself.
And who would be the arbiter who determines who is allowed to post here and enter TBA ? Why that would be Chitownvol ! Yes, the same poster who deliberately fabricated a cancer story
(And subsequently tries rationalizing it) in the hopes of driving off the admittedly annoying fans of another team from this forum.
What could possibly go wrong ?
