I covered her website over in the 2020 thread. Even on those items mentioned above she wasnt the furthest left.It really is bizarre seeing the love she is getting on here though. She supports Medicare for All, a $15/hr minimum wage, investment in renewable energy while cutting subsidies to fossil fuel related power, equal rights for LGBTQ, tax increases on the wealthy, etc. I don't think anyone on this board has actually gone to her campaign website and read her proposals. She isn't Bernie or Warren left, but she is definitely center-left. Her support of Medicare for All should put her firmly in the socialist camp, per the board rules.
Oh, I read her quotes on her campaign website. I don't just look at titles when deciding who to vote for.I covered her website over in the 2020 thread. Even on those items mentioned above she wasnt the furthest left.
M4A was American only.
Reducing subsidies is conservative.
Decreasing our war footprint is conservative.
Equal rights is as well.
A lot of non Republican stuff. But it's fairly conservative for a Dem.
If you looked past the titles of her webpage and dove in you would see more of the reason she gets some traction here.

Tulsi is right there with Bernie and Warren supporting Medicare for All. That alone should lead to widespread dislike of her from the board.
Reducing subsidies for the fossil fuel industry is not conservative, which is what she proposes to do.
Decreasing our war footprint is not conservative. She has heavily criticized Trump for how he handled the Kurdish situation.
Equal rights is absolutely not a conservative stance. Far from it. Glad she is on the correct side of that issue.
She guarantees college for all and reducing student debt. Not conservative.
She opposes for-profit prisons, another non-conservative stance.
She supports legalizing marijuana, another non-conservative stance.
I can go on, but won't.
I'm glad every one on here has noticed her and are liking some of her views on things. I do too. But she is not some bastion of centrism like every one claims. She's also not a Russian asset, just to get that out of the way.
You are falsely conflating Trump era Republicans for conservatives.Oh, I read her quotes on her campaign website. I don't just look at titles when deciding who to vote for.

As much as I wish it was, that’s not her. That’s Padma Lakshmi. Tulsi is one fine woman though! She has a Red outfit as well. Vote Red.
Agreed that it seems more likely she’s running 3rd party.Who would pick her to be their VP? And why would she desire to be a VP?
