Before we get to the cheeky comments, my time zone is 12 hours away, so I am not able to follow basketball like football, so I can't just watch a game without a lot of sacrifice and effort.

1. Robert Hubbs; stats do not look very impressive for someone who was so highly rated. What's going on?

2. Stokes: is he just too slow? Does anyone think he has an NBA future, or is he just on a plateau? We had really high hopes, but he has never become the take over the game type of player we hoped.

3. What are some of the key issues with the team?

Thanks :hi:

Perhaps all your questions could be answered by reading the basketball forum in full..FYI have a beer nearby though.

1. He's just a freshman. Sometime it takes a little longer for it to click.

2. He's a solid college player, but I can see any scenario where he's a productive NBA player.

3. The team has been unprepared several games this year. Slow starts have been a problem.

Thanks. I hope Hubbs progressed more than Stokes. Some thought he was a 1/2 or 1 1/2 season and gone guy. Sigh

1.) He's a freshman, and needs better coaching. Give him time.

2.) He's full of talent, but hasn't been coached up to his potential. I know it's early to say this, but he'll be here next year too, IMO.

3.) Coaching.

Common denominator is common, IMO.

1. I think he is some what overrated but I don't think he has been put in position to succeed.

2. He is not an NBA player. Too small to play inside and not skilled enough to play outside. He doesn't use his body well. Struggles really bad against longer players. Maymon is better using his body but he isn't fully back or is still knocking off the rust. Neither finish as well as they should.

I like the look of Davis, he needs to get bigger but I think he has a bright future and would like to see him get more minutes.

3. I don't think this team is built for martin's motion offense. We don't have good catch and shoot players and you need them in this offense. I like some of the sets (a post look with a screen for the screener shot option) but don't have the shooter. I think we need more dribble drive offense with a few of martin's sets. McRae and the others are better scorers off the dribble.

Side note if we had a loften in this offense it would be tough to stop.

Zo must Go. Bring back the Pearl.

Yep. Am I the only one thinking CBP's not still sitting cozy in Knoxville because he loves the place too much to leave? CCM's not capable of putting the Vols back into the limelight, as did Bruce, so let's look forward to the Pearl Era Part Deux-----coming soon to the Vol Nation!!
