What, no UM/UF game thread?

Except recruiting. They are bringing in a ridiculous group of skill players next year.

Tennessee's last two classes blow this years Gator crop away. They are averaging 3.4 stars per player, which is good but not as good as some other schools, just saying.

I'm not blaming McElwain personally, but you have to admit that the media really hyped him, based exclusively on Florida's pre-December success.

Sure but they were just running with a story. I saw three series in the first game and as screaming at anyone who would listen that Grier was the guy to hand the team over to. Inexperienced, yes, but capable and ABLE TO GET BETTER.

Harris was exactly the same as he had always been. Too short, weak arm, unable to anticipate, panicky in the pocket, easily frazzled, and completely incapable of learning from his mistakes.

As soon as Grier was out, any fan with any sense of objectivity knew that the season would quickly deteriorate, just as it did.

I look forward to the Luke Del Rio era of UF football.

Treon Harris will go on to do great things at Bethune Cookman.

There is some serious talent coming. You can choose to believe that or not

Florida really needs it. The Gators haven't looked good at all this year really, and most of the one's who did will be gone next year. Good thing Grier got away with doping as long as he did. This year would have been totally different for Florida with Freon Harris starting all year at quarterback.🐊

Lol. They sure killed it against Alabama & Michigan.

Of the current, season ending depth chart, maybe the Ivey kid is the only Florida offensive guy I'd take over our year end starter at the concurring position. I'd take any of our three qb's over Freon (and i haven't even seen S. Jones play yet). We are comparable if not better than them everywhere on defense.

Florida is not omnipotent. They have not been great every year, nor have they been good forever. Spurrier took them to new heights and Meyer rode Timothy to two titles and a shot at a third. They've been quite average at best since 2010, culminating in a fraudulent Eastern Division title this year. They are not guaranteed a return to championship level by any means, & they sure as hell aren't there now. We'll see how Mac does with getting a new qb ready next year while also building a defense.

Not scared of their "killer" talent in the least. But you are free to fear them as long as you like.
