Can someone name a successful family coaching heir in men/women basketball please? Successful = champions.
And Go ...

Requiring a championship is an absurd definition of successful. If we adopt a more reasonable definition, Robert Doak, the first coach of the NC State women’s team, whose team went 11–4, qualifies as successful, as does his father Chick Doak, who went 18–16 as the coach of the North Carolina men's basketball team.

How can anyone say Tyler's situation isn't indirectly linked to UT? A number of the posters to this board wanted him back here coaching before the incident occurred...and they were not alone!!
Tyler's situation is tragic in so many ways..but being the son of the greatest women's coach in history and brought up as part of the LV family how can he not be linked to us for good or bad?

Thank you! All the posters suggesting that Tyler Summitt is in no way connected with the name Tennessee are in denial. There's just no way around it.

For me the irony in all of this? Coach Holly Warlick is dismantling brick by brick the very foundation of a once proud storied program that Coach Summitt had built into what Louisiana Tech has become. :crazy:

I know it has been mentioned that ESPN not doing a good job of separating out La Tech from TN and Tyler from Pat..... I do not find fault with them at all, knowing journalistic protocol.... If Geno's kid did same thing, the lead in to story would be "Larry Auriemma, son of UConn coach Geno Auriemma, xxx"... that is just the way it is.... and obviously interest is high because of what Pat built.... I never heard a story about John Kennedy Jr, without reference "son of the late Pres John F Kennedy" so I do not think ESPN is out to get us... though storyline is unfortunate for us....

Was Tyler employed with Tennessee during any of this????? I don't think I'm living in denial because I don't see the connection this has with UT......sorry!
