What other message boards are saying : Baseball edition

I drove through Louisiana on Interstate 10 on my way to Houston. I have to say, the whole state looks like a decrepit wasteland. Everything looked like a Swampland. I was surprised at how much of an eyesore the state is. Not sure why anyone would want to live there or what they find appealing about that state.

Usually what you see of an area from an Interstate is not the best face the area can present. Interstates by their nature follow land that can be purchased at the cheapest rate. As such, they are not often not routed through the regions most photogenic shall we say.

Of course they are. Two weeks ago they were all saying it’s Kevin O’Sullivan. Then it was Godwin. Now it’s Vitello. They have no idea.

A few posters on the UVA message board seem to be a little worried about the wind aiding our long dong game. We’ll be facing Abbott (their “ace”) and he has a record of 8-6 on the year, but his ERA isn’t too bad sitting around 3. We have struggled a little with lefties this year, but Abbott hasn’t had the best postseason thus far. If we can get on him quick with a little help from the wind, maybe we can get to their bullpen and pull away early. I will be a nervous wreck if we let them hang around with all their late game theatrics the past few weekends.
