I decided to take a glance around the other SEC teams and see what the general consensus is so far this season from our foes.

-(Alabama) They want all coordinators fired. They’re not even close to happy with anything it seems. They are very nervous about A&M, LSU, Tennessee, and Kentucky. They are mad at Saban for hiring incompetent coordinators and not chewing enough ass.

-(Arkansas) Pittmans seat is red hot according to them. Their top new HC candidates include: Willie Fritz (HC FOR TULANE), Jeff Traylor (HC FOR UTSA, Mike Elko (HC FOR DUKE), Lance Leipold (HC FOR KANSAS), and Kendall Briles (OC FOR TCU). They are ready for basketball season, they’re done.

-(Auburn) There is a lot of “it’s okay” attitude going around about Freeze’s first year as HC. They don’t seem too discouraged about anything, just seem to accept they will take their lumps this year and then be leaps and bounds better next year.

-(Florida) Begging Napier to hire an OC. They feel like they have a better chance in home or neutral games compared to being on the road. They think they’re going to finish 5-7 or 6-6. If Napier doesn’t succeed next year, then he should be canned. Tennessee victory is long gone now, it’s all doom.

-(Georgia) Split fanbase right now. Some think they’re going to 3 peat, others are calling those 3 peat folks very graphic names. A majority does recognize that this isn’t Georgia of the old and some are claiming losses coming to Kentucky and Tennessee. There’s a lot of bickering going on about Bobo needing to be gone after this year.

-(Kentucky) They’re on top of the world. There are some that are seemingly making plans for Atlanta in December. There is zero fear going around for remaining games. A few fans claim that they are going to obliterate Georgia Saturday night and that will swing the season into full gear. Tennessee doesn’t stand a chance according to a few.

-(LSU) Full meltdown mode is engaged. There are some calling for Brian Kelly’s head and for LSU to back up the Brinks trunk to Primes front door in Boulder. A lot of irrational thought going on, full of piss and vinegar. They don’t see winning many more games on the horizon.

-(Miss St) According to many, the program is a complete train wreck and has been for quite some time. They are not happy by any means about a single thing. There was even a thread about remembering good times in the program from the 90’s.

-(Missouri) A lot of similarities here between them and Kentucky’s board. A lot of them think that it’s them and Kentucky for the East. Drinkwitz is a savior now and they are supposedly better on offense than Ole Miss and will take it to LSU.

-(Ole Miss) Kiffin is back in good graces after a big win over LSU. They still see a couple of more losses coming, but for now they are still in the race for the West. They are urging the crowds to be bigger at home games as apparently the attendance has been low. Recruiting is a big topic and they feel like they’re doing a decent job at it.

-(South Carolina) The tables have turned in Columbia. They weren’t so much bothered by the UGA loss, but they are heated about losing to Tennessee. Beamer is falling from grace over there and Rattler is not high on their list neither. They are asking what it’ll take to actually compete for the East and how much longer it’s going to take.

-(Texas A&M) They are confident. The Miami loss was a fluke and they’re going to beat the hell out of Alabama. According to some, they don’t see another loss all year long. Tennessee really isn’t mentioned as the game is 2 weeks away. All focus is on Alabama and how bad they’re going to beat Saban.

-(Vanderbilt) Football talk is seemingly dead. I did see threads about a Cricket Club and the upcoming Bowling season. Baseball is being mentioned as well. Football program has been in the grave for years and they don’t think it’ll ever be resurrected. According to them, they need to throw some serious money to get a competent head coach to Nashville to finally right the ship.

I’m so glad VN isn’t this dramatic!
Lots of level heads on this site. Never get too high, never get too low. 😉

Florida fans will never give their coach credit for beating us. They feel it's their birthright. We have no one to blame but ourselves for that
And on that day a walk on type O-line with undisciplined and fundamentally unsound secondary

UK hasn't proven they have a passing game yet. You can beat mediocre teams just running the ball, but against good teams you have to have a balanced attack. Missouri is in for a rude awakening. When the toughest team you've beaten is a middle-of-the-road Big 12 team you've got no business believing you're good.

It’s gotta kill Kiff to no end to have to beg fans to come to games when he sees the crowd we got Saturday night for USCJr 😳.
You don’t know what you got till it’s gone
He used to do the same thing down here at FAU when he was coach...Did commercials and everything lol

It’s nice not to be in the position of most of these fan bases. I think we are in a great place. Good talent on the field, better talent on the way, a coach who’s offenses are fun to watch and are always among the top in the country, a rabid defense, and an unbeatable home field advantage with a loyal and loud fanbase of 100k+ in the stadium. This year may not be last year’s equivalent (though it still has the potential to be), but the general trajectory of this program is clearly upward (cannot say that at Baton Rouge, Starksville, Fayetteville USC or Auburn) and not irrationally so (looking at Mizzou). Lets appreciate how lucky we have it. After years of misery it shouldn’t be hard to do.

Truly, it’s great to be a Tennessee Vol!

Thanks for treading where no good Christian man dare tread and summarizing the cesspools for the rest of us. Some unsolicited observations:

Arky: I feel like Leipold is the best answer here since Briles is toxic. He’s old and might want to avoid stepping into the SEC at this point.

Kentucky: they might career it vs a weak UGA but I feel they’re similar to us playing in Gainesville vs TN. That’s a loss until I see a win after 60 mins peel off the scoreboard. Cornbread whipped them when they had 2 first rounders.

LSU: kind of funny but pretty much in line with how I expected a Kelly tenure to be. I didn’t anticipate it being this inconsistent with the talent they had. Firing him would be a sure fire way to get a decade of football like we just experienced, but they might be stupid enough to do it.

Mizzou: I thought Drink was a Butch Jones light like Beamer but he’s managing decently up there. He’s still one of the suckers in the poker room when you see all the other coaches in conference, but he’s probably secure for the mid to long term given their program’s status.

Ole Miss: field rushing for that win is pathetic. I don’t consider anything worse than an upset of a top ten while you’re ranked as signature but we’re talking Ole Miss standards I guess. This win and angling for the division give Lane a chance to flirt with a major job again but I doubt they’ll get the win vs A&M or the help vs Bama to do it. I think even the brick headed AD’s now know Lane is smoke and mirrors when it comes to performing at the level he thinks he can win at.

USCjr: hilarious that they have anything but genuflection for Rattler. They’re in a tough spot bc it’s hard to fire Beamer this soon even though he’s not going to be there much longer. Giving Prime a call behind the scenes would be smart if they really are looking to move on, but Prime or any decent coach would be stupid to go there without major guaranteed money.

Vandy: I’m bullish on Clark Lea. Not sure what you want in a coach given they have to be threaded with exile just to upgrade facilities. For a non-Ivy Ivy they make terrible AD decisions.

The Arky fans are talking about hiring Kendall Briles, the son, not Art, the father. Kendall was OC at Arky for Pittman until taking the OC job at TCU this year.

It's funny that Missouri and Kentucky fans are thinking their teams are of the elite tier in the SEC lol. Sure, they are 5-0, but they haven't really played a noteworthy SEC team yet. I think both of those teams are improved, but still middle of the pack. As their seasons progress, I think this will be clear. I think TN beats them both by the way.

Neither will win more than 8 games this season. Mizzou may not have a win left on the schedule. I’ll give them both the benefit of the doubt and say UK goes 8-4 and Mizzou goes 7-5. We beat both.

Oh I know. Death, taxes, and KY losing to TN. They talked a big game before coming to Neyland last year too.
Kentucky always has a weak early schedule. They pile up the wins and then the tougher games begin. This is when their lack of talented depth begins to show....then the losses start to pile up.
