-Just to let you all know, we have NEVER been beaten this bad, time to make changes.

-I turned the game off early.

-This game couldn’t have been that financially viable.

-We are Bishop Sycamore.

-At least we slowed them down on their second touchdown. It took them more than 2 minutes to score.

-How do we bring coach back after this debacle?

-Players need to do a reverse Rudy and walk into Diacons office and put their jerseys on his desk asking for a new coach.

-This cannot continue to be tolerated…I am embarrassed to be an alum tonite. I know it’s only football- but it is disheartening…

-The onside kick was bush league. The beatdown however was the incompetence of this piss poor coaching staff.

-Zero adjustments after that can of whoop ass in the 1st half is all you need to know about this coaching staff.

-I guess as long as the check clears, we’re happy?

-I don’t ever remember being beat down this bad ever and I’ve been a fan for a long time.

They all see what a lot of us saw. That is a terribly coached team. Sure, the talent is sub-par, but they didn’t even look like they’ve been coached in the fundamentals, let alone D1 football.

The Bush league comments are rich - they need to look at who made the call to line up like they did and start the discussion there.

I hate playing Q4 teams, just hate it. All for getting backups meaningful live reps but without some level of quality they're of little value.

If the Kent Alumni are pissed then they should donate to the program so they don't have to play payday games. Cheap sunny beaches

That was an incredibly poorly poor collective of effort, coaching, and execution. It was hard to watch. They couldn’t snap the ball, one surprised the we and went just over the head. They dropped balls. They whiffed the onsides. They did not do anything well. Everyone in America still thinks we chuck it deep every play and they left us repeatedly with a light box. Did they not watch the NCSU game?

I felt bad for that team. They did not belong on the same field as us. I know these are actually important for a myriad of reasons, but my goodness this may have been the worst FBS team that I have ever seen.

"time to make changes" "This cannot continue to be tolerated."

Holy crap, and people say us Tennessee fans have unreasonable expectations. Wow. WOW.

I thought it gave our guys an opportunity to practice the onside kick in a real game. later we might need it. Secondly, we can't help it if KS couldn't just fall on it.
Wasn’t really a good simulation. No other team will be that poorly coached to line up like that. I wish the fans and players of Kent State good luck. They’re going to need it with that coaching.

Those Kent State guys never quit: they played at full speed from start to finish. They took pride in refusing to have the time in the second half reduced or for the clock to run continually. Their coach said the players made that decision. Unlike a few teams we've seen, I saw no dirty shots or "extracurriculars." I commend them for all of that. They did a good job of holding us to only 6 points in the second half -- and no comments are needed from the peanut gallery on that last point. I didn't see them ever slack off.

I see no reason for their fans to disrespect their coach. They're a young group. Kenni Burns (or anyone else) is not going to work an overnight miracle. It's not possible. But I think he may get things headed back in the right direction. I enjoyed listening to what Coach Burns said before and after the game. I hope they do well in their conference this year. Kent State had much more success playing at Pitt opening week, scoring 24 points and closing to within a touchdown in the middle of the 3rd quarter. This is not an ordinary team they were up against here last night.

And Im not sure he’s even really Catholic. My people are looking into it.

They should. Thought he was too good to work in the family steel mill business, tried to get All Americans hurt in practice, lied about being in the Irish booster club and got busted, faked an interview to be a priest so he could get intel on Holy Cross from that unsuspecting priest, and tried to manipulate a new head coach with that sob story about his dad to get a chance to dress out. Rudy was shady as hell

Don’t know why they’re mad at that.

UT was just giving them an opportunity to get the best field position they had all game. Not UTs fault their player Couldn’t handle a slow roller.😜

He also stole that key and was a squatter. He was a poor groundskeeper who seemingly made the other guys do the work while he pranced around on the field yelling to himself. He ditched his fiancé (though it allowed her to upgrade) and walked out on his family on Christmas Eve. He was a whiny little punk.

I know as fans we are all inclined to defend our team, players, and coaches...and maybe for some a blind irrational support makes us feel like the most virtuous and greatest of fans....but I must say...I can't figure out why we kicked the onside kick... even if it was a great time to do it (with them not all playing up). We were clearly going to destroy them at that point. And wouldn't we want to save that for a bigger game? Like let other teams think we didn't notice that (Kent formation). So if any other team lines up like Kent State did we can take advantage of it then. For the rest of the year...every team we play against will now be ready for the onside kick.

Also, after watching over 30 years of college football...those type of moves always end up leading to an @$$ kicking in the future. Football Karma.
