He also stole that key and was a squatter. He was a poor groundskeeper who seemingly made the other guys do the work while he pranced around on the field yelling to himself. He ditched his fiancé (though it allowed her to upgrade) and walked out on his family on Christmas Eve. He was a whiny little punk.
Finally, the truth is coming out about this Rudy character. In my opinion, the best way he could’ve honored the memory of his friend would be to stay at the steel mill, earn his union card, and settle for the perks of a blue collar life in the mid 70s. Instead he had to be selfish and be a “me” kinda guy pursuing his fantasy of playing for an overrated national brand like ND. I mean, it’s clear ND was trying to send him a message that he wasn’t Irish material with 3 straight denials. The last acceptance letter was just a DEI acceptance because he was a poor white trash midget with an attitude and a penchant for making life miserable for others around him. Heck, his best friend only came to 1 game, the last one and didn’t even buy a ticket. Just hung out in the tunnel so he could get Rudy off his back about coming to a game. Not to mention Rudy hung out with guys who said G damn a lot. Low class
