He also stole that key and was a squatter. He was a poor groundskeeper who seemingly made the other guys do the work while he pranced around on the field yelling to himself. He ditched his fiancé (though it allowed her to upgrade) and walked out on his family on Christmas Eve. He was a whiny little punk.

Finally, the truth is coming out about this Rudy character. In my opinion, the best way he could’ve honored the memory of his friend would be to stay at the steel mill, earn his union card, and settle for the perks of a blue collar life in the mid 70s. Instead he had to be selfish and be a “me” kinda guy pursuing his fantasy of playing for an overrated national brand like ND. I mean, it’s clear ND was trying to send him a message that he wasn’t Irish material with 3 straight denials. The last acceptance letter was just a DEI acceptance because he was a poor white trash midget with an attitude and a penchant for making life miserable for others around him. Heck, his best friend only came to 1 game, the last one and didn’t even buy a ticket. Just hung out in the tunnel so he could get Rudy off his back about coming to a game. Not to mention Rudy hung out with guys who said G damn a lot. Low class

Right. Im sure we all know lots of people that need a priest to pull strings to get them into junior college and then end up getting into one of the most prestigious schools in the land while paying for it by mowing grass. A tale as old as time.
His “best friend” wasn’t his friend or a tutor, Rudy was clearly paying him to do his work to maintain eligibility. How else could a law school student show up in a limo like that?

Also, Rudy was a real lowlife skipping out on rent for that room in the stadium yet always had money for beers at the bar. What kind of guy takes a cot from a 50 year old suffering from sciatica, anyway?

He can afford beer but can’t buy a ticket to a football game and instead tries to get a poor old man fired by letting him in for a few bucks?

He clearly used the death of his friend to excuse him leaving his family on Christmas to fight Ivan Drago in Russia.

This right here ^

Keep in mind, while at ND on the scout team, Rudy was trespassing on stadium grounds at night to run under the bleachers. That dude had no regard for the rule of law.
He should’ve never been carried off the field - Vince Vaughan should have. His play at the end was the only reason Rude-y even got on the field. And what kind of narcissistic a hole leads the team out of the tunnel with his finger up like he was a Heisman front runner? He is a stain on the ND brand for now and forevermore

How self deluded was the guy to think that his 160 lb self going all out in practice against AllAmerican linemen was really helping those linemen prepare for top 25 teams/defenses? I’m sure Georgia wold t be what they are if they didn’t have 5’7 160 lb def ends going full bore at them in practice. That’s how they are ready when Bama comes calling.

(I’m enjoying this way too much, btw) The 30 for 30 you and I produce on this guy is gonna smash the Emmy’s next year.

Not sure why they're mad at the coach. It was like taking a HS team and playing against an NFL team
X's & O's don't matter when you don't have the Jimmy's and Joes
At least their coach taught them not to be quitters or sore losers.
They were offered to play shorter quarters and said the game is over when it's over, also respect to the players because they didn't try and take cheap shots on our players like a certain school did.
They knew they were going to lose and just enjoyed playing under the lights at Neyland.

-The onside kick was bush league. The beatdown however was the incompetence of this piss poor coaching staff.

I liked it (understand if others didn’t). Every team left on the schedule now knows we’ll take it if it’s there. The threat adds one more thing to game plan for with this team.

Bush league onside???

But lining up like it's 8U pop Warner is big time???
Got it

They could have held onto the ball and got really good field position out of it. I think most coaches wish that’s where they could catch a kickoff every time.
