“-I’ll never go back to Neyland. The entire experience from tailgating to the game was horrible. I was getting treated like a POS everywhere I walked. Screw Tennessee fans.”

I was thinking the same thing. Just don’t like to see that at all .
Same here. I appreciate fans who travel to support their team and I recognize fans who go to away games are likely those school’s most ardent fans. I would like to think that the great majority of Vol fans are welcoming. I did not witness any animosity toward UK fans Saturday. I rode a bus from Lot 14 with UK fans and all the talk between UT and UK fans was friendly. I went to Oklahoma this year and found their fans to be quite nice, a few students notwithstanding. I have to admit, most all the negative experiences with other fan bases I have encountered have been with those school’s students. I don’t doubt that some UT students can be unwelcoming.

Most college student brains aren’t fully formed yet so you have to allow for that. If drinking, their brain shrinks to the size of a squirrel’s.

I wonder why he said he was treated like a POS everywhere he went. Wonder what happened lol

It’s not funny to treat visiting fans like that but the overall post is hilarious. I truly believe if they won he would be fine being treated poorly bc at least they won. For him to see his team be somewhat competitive and still lose makes it all for naught. I feel ya bro.

That’s probably it. Any visiting fan that comes to Neyland acting like a jackass can get an attitude adjustment for all that I care. Any guest behaving like a guest deserves to be treated with hospitality.

I apologize for the late post. I went to the game yesterday, got in late, and then had to drive back home today, so here it goes!

-I know one thing, Tenn ain’t winning **** this year.

-I have a coworker that is a big UT fan. Tell you what….I wont put up with his mouth come Monday. If anything this proves UT is a fraud. Hell, Auburn looked better score wise.

-To be fair..if Tennessee kicker does not crawl his pants to 3 miss Fg…/uk isn’t in this game after 3rd qtr.

-I knew we wouldn't win still. The only time we beat UT is when they have bad teams.

-I'm sick of watching this team beat itself week after week, they never seem to get better. They DON'T make just enough plays to lose.

-Ole Mark got us at 3-6, worst team in the SEC and on probation to boot. 9 million a year!

-Our players exploited them. We just couldn't finish the game offensively.

-Tennessee isn’t even close to a playoff team, that’s why I’m pissed we lost to them.

-UT isn’t a good football team, still not sure how we lost.

-Something to remember about playing in Knoxville is if you're the visitor you better have a huge lead going into the last 5 minutes of the game because if it's close or TN's trailing closely weird, bizarre things happen in their favor. Has for years, decades.

-The refs were clearly on Heupels payroll.

-Tennessee fans and players and staff are legit the biggest POS.

-4-37 against Tennessee in my lifetime.

-Tennessee won, but I don’t see how their staff or fans feel good about their team at all. They’re so bad.

-There isn’t a team in the country that is allowed to push a pile for a touchdown except FREAKING TENNESSEE.

-I’ll never go back to Neyland. The entire experience from tailgating to the game was horrible. I was getting treated like a POS everywhere I walked. Screw Tennessee fans.

-Stoops has to go. I’ve had enough of this mediocre crap.

Kentucky will not fire Stoops.

I've gone to every SEC stadium, except for Miss St. and the two newbies. We've been treated great and welcomed by some, and mistreated by others. Every fan base has people that are awful, it's just whether you happen to run into them or not. Unfortunately when you do, it ruins the experience and makes you think all fans for that team act the same.

Nor should they. Injuries aren't his fault. He put together a good first half with what he has.
We accepted that excuse for a long time. Injuries occur because you lack depth and development. UT hasn't had extraordinary injuries. They have enough depth so that guys can go hard without getting so tired they're prone to injury... and depth assures that when guys are nicked up they can have their workload reduced.

IMO, Stoops issue is the same as it will always be for UK. They are in a recruiting vice. Just a few hours north you have OSU. Not too much further you have PSU and Michigan. Just a tad further is ND. Going south they immediately run into UT and the rest of the SEC. They have one of the worst if not they worst recruiting situation in the SEC. Even Vandy has significant talent within a couple of hours. Now with the advent of the portal, UK will likely start losing even the 3* gems they find. They'll become a destination for guys who were overrated or otherwise couldn't cut it where they were before like Vandagriff.

I can't honestly say I hate it for Stoops. I think he's a jerk when a little successful. I like the humble version much better.

I don't necessarily disagree with your post except the part about the portal causing them to lose what "3* gems" they have. If anything it gives them the opportunity to bring in more. Personally I hate what is happening to college football, but the parity that is emerging is interesting if nothing else.

Vandy ain't a gimme like it has been for a thousand years.

Refs missed multiple holding calls on both sides of the ball. Just like Pearce was held, Walker as being held almost in every play. We got away with several DPI calls as well.

As usual the officiating was terrible. And yet again it wasn’t one sided like some VN posters think it was.
Didn’t say it was one sided… the uk “fan” did… I waserely pointing out the other side they were ignoring…

Just wanted to point out that it's not illegal to help push someone over the goal line if forward progress hasn't been stopped. So not sure what they're talking about when they say Tennessee is the only team that could get away with that.

Some are winners in that game. Some are losers. UK is a loser and IMO always will be unless they somehow pull off a huge coups and bring in an elite coach.

i think its largely a comparative thing. typically as soon as our guy isn't moving forward quickly enough they blow the play dead. so this time with there definitely being a pause in forward momentum, but play was allowed to continue, it looks so much different from the normal.

They're talking about wanting to get rid of Stoops, but who would they replace him with? Who could do a better job there than he has done in terms of wins and recruiting? I was looking at their recruiting class last night and they aren't far behind us in talent now.

Not sure what you are talking about but they are miles behind UT right now. You cannot simply look at rankings. Right now they have a "5* QB"... who plays like a 2*. That wasn't as big of a secret as some believe. He wasn't competitive at UGA.

yeah, they are still pretty far behind us. don't just look at the ranking, look at the overall score.

they are closer in talent to Iowa and NCST than they are to us. on the flip side we are closer to Oregon's overall talent than we are to Kentucky's.

and just based on the the averages of the current recruiting class Kentucky is holding steady, while we are adding talent.

I agree them getting a better coach is a tall task, but the gap is bigger than you are letting on.

I will never go to see us -lay a game at Florida or Georgia again. Worst fans in the entire world.
