What Other Message Boards Are Saying (UGA Post Playoff Rankings Edition)

He's back next year.
Oh nice. The covid year keeps throwing me off. I saw a post today that a Minnesota player will be back for his 7th season next year haha.

how do you feel about him for next year? Is he gonna be teh likely starter over that QB recruit you guys have

Milton has a better arm than Hooker, but he’s not as accurate and doesn’t perform as well under pressure. He’s not ideal for Heupel’s system, but I assume he will be the starter in Week 1… how long he can hold that position remains to be seen. If he doesn’t perform well, it will be hard to keep him out there with Nico Iamaleava sitting on the sideline. Nico is going to be a beast and is perfect for Heupel’s system. But I just can’t see us starting a true freshman QB right out of the gate.

I'm alright with him.

From what few snaps he's had this year, and admittedly he's had virtually no meaningful snaps with the game on the line, I think he's improved mightily from last season.

We might have a 9-3/10-2 ceiling with him, but I can live with that as long as he keeps us in every game.

I think he's the likely starter over our 5* recruit Nico. Even if Nico is the real deal, I see him being eased into the starting roll around game 4 or 5 at earliest.
If Milton's not the starter, that's probably more a testament to Trayvon Jackson(3rd string this year, legit 4*) or Nico's progress, than a knock against Milton.

Many schools could do a lot worse than Milton as a starting QB. Saying that, Milton exhibited fatal flaws at Michigan and early last season for us. He struggled to anticipate, hence throw his receivers open. When his receivers were wide open, he couldn't control his excitement and keep his rocket arm calibrated, and had too many overthows..

In limited sample size this season, that seems to have been corrected. I'll be a cynic and state those kind of flaws are rare to completely correct at this stage of a QB's career. Until he delivers in meaningful snaps, it's uncertain. If he truly has overcome his flaws, may the legend of J. Heupel, QB whisperer, continue to grow. We're looking to be pretty loaded at WR again next year with Bru McCoy, R. Keyton, and Squirrel White returning.

Milton will know the system well but Hooker starts for a reason. Nico is the future and I don’t have much doubts about him. He’s going to be very good for us.

The most aggravating narrative it the below; they act like Kent St and Mizzou didn’t happen!!

I swear to everything, I hate their fans more than ISIS-K and the Taliban!!!!!

True and I think Nico will need to beef up a little bit for college game. However, I think Nico is the real deal. We will see.

TN will have it's chances if they can be effective against the run. Losing the edges, giving up 4-5 yds on first down is a recipe for disaster. Conversely if we can keep them honest with a rushing attack, this might be a pretty tight game. It's the SEC, its about the biggest game you can get (rating ought to be through the roof).....and that's why the trenches will be key. Just always seems to be that way.

You are underestimating Milton. Watch and see how good he will be next year.

Sure I understand that. But you don't think crowd noise can effect snap count and false starts? The comments said that it would hurt Georgia far more than Tennessee. At best it's a wash. Our defense uses hand signals too
Silent count. We’ve done it all year.

Do you actually watch football?

Sure I get that and I'm not even denying that. But I also made some points on why there is also pressure on Tennessee players for this game. Calling either fact is kinda a stretch, they are opinions on who has more pressure on them. I think it's about equal. The only way it would be a fact is if you went around asked every Georgia and Tennessee player and they answered truthfully. Something that isn't going to happen.

You make good points.
All I'll say is the pressure of beating Bama with that 15 yrs streak and the type of game it was tells us about this year's team and pressure. Can you say the same about this year's Georgia team. The answer is no.

I feel good about this game. But like many here this unexpected year is a great ride.
Go Vols

I cannot wait for Tennesse to beat Georgia to a pulp. You'll run and hide just like the other posters from other teams have. You have ONE good season in 40 years and think you're something. Sit. The. Hell. Down.

Transitive property doesn’t work in football. What we and UGA have done up to this point is completely irrelevant.
It’s more than one game! Also shows the Georgia D isn’t as elite as everyone thinks! Not to mention that their offensive line couldn’t keep a FCS school and not a very good one from pressuring the quarterback!

"-All the pressure is on Tennessee. They're not good, they have benefitted from playing a favorable schedule and teams on the down fall. Dawgs by 20 plus."

Oregon, Samford, South Carolina, kent st, Missouri, Auburn, Vandy, Florida

Yeah Georgia has played powerhouse teams lol
