I like the comment about Vandy getting coaches fired. That's what happens when you lose to a sh*thole program. "Lose to Vandy, lose your job" should be a motto.

Got curious and had to check their place out. Turns out they also think we're so bad we shouldn't be in the sec and that the sec is mad at us for all the money were missing out on cause we never make it to bowl games. Last time I checked we have been to 49 to their what, 4. Perfect logic.

I find it funny that they use a slogan like "ANCHOR DOWN" when it seems like they are already in a boat thats tied to a dock......they aint going nowhere. Seems like dropping the anchor would just make their bad situation even worse. :no::no: :disappointed::disappointed:

Vandy is at their ceiling of relevancy in college football stringing together a few seasons of going to mid major bowl games. All of this talk on their message boards is entertaining, mind numbingly stupid, but entertaining none the less.

Like ive said in another thread...If we actually lost every game for the next 20 years and Vandy won every game for the next 20 years, our records would be durn near even. Thats sad..

All Vandy did last year was stumble upon a gasping for breath, half dead dragon...trip... accidentally cut off its head....drag it back to the village and claim they "slayed the mighty UT". Taken out of context it seemed like a good win for them.....ah the rose colored glasses.

Vandy is begging for an azz whoopin of epic proportions. I just hope our guys have enough fire in their belly to deliver said azz whoopin with extreme malice.

Were all 15 fans in attendance shouting that "Beat UT" chant? Did they start a wave following it? Maybe sing Sweet Caroline? Hope that beach ball didn't blow to far to the left and out of reach.

In my 40+ years of being a Vol fan at no time have I ever thought Vandy would win the game and this game is no exception. I expect the game to go down like this: run, run, run and continue like that for 60 minutes. We are going to pound them like the step child they are.

F Vandy, we are the flagship University of Tennessee!

I kinda feel for the Vandy fans really - this is the first time in 100 years they have had a team with even a minute amount of significance. They have actually learned how to spell the word B-O-W-L and understand what it means. Its special really for them. I say we give them their full moment in the sun to soak up its rays...before we snuff out that flickering light on Saturday. :daddy:

Anyways, here's what the Vandy faithful are saying about the end-all purpose of their existence, and that is..... The Tennessee Game.

-Can't seem to find any general score predictions. Just a few posters that think they will win by 2-3 scores.

-They feel they will travel well. I would agree. Their fans are fired up for this one.

-They are pissed about the opening line.

-The play calling against KY was vanilla so UT won't have much film study........ and yes they're serious when they say this.

-The general theme is pretty much "Run the ball on UT all night like Auburn and we will kill them like Auburn did".

-They're getting really upset at all the bowl projections they are seeing for us, as apparently the majority has us going to a bowl.

-Somehow, some way, the awesomely realistic rumor of Eric Berry paying for his little brothers to come here spilled over into their message boards. They saw where the twins committed and are inquiring now if Eric paying for his brothers tuition is some kind of NCAA violation. They are sure it's illegal and want it to be looked into..... I'm embarrassed for them for even thinking it happened.

-They are referencing the fact that they beat Auburn last year and Auburn beat us this year as proof that they will win...... no that is not a joke.

-Apparently they refer to us as UTjr. I'm curious as to how that's justifiable.

-Before the Kentucky game there was a thread titled "Kentucky: can we actually tie up the series?" And it made me so proud to be a fan of a real school.

-They refer to us the way a lot of UT fans refer to Bama, in the sense that they want us to lose to everyone we play no matter what.

-They are pretty much taking all the credit for getting Dooley fired. I'm seeing a lot of comments like "Looks like we probably just got Muschamp fired. That's 2 SEC coaches Vandy has gotten fired in 2 years."

-They all seem to talk about the 2011 OT game in Neyland a lot. Apparently it's the only game Franklin "should have won but didn't".

-They say the same ignorant nonsense on their boards that the trolls do over here. "UT fans live in the past, Vandy is the team of the future!!!" (which would make sense if their 2014 class was #2..... or even #5...... or even #20......... but it's none of the above.)

Franklin said in his press conference that it's not a rivalry yet. As a Vandy fan I respect what coach said and he's right. AS far as how I feel, I would trade every win and bowl game to beat the Vols every year. Obviously that's not going to happen but I'm very happy with where the program is. If Vandy has hit it's ceiling at 8 or 9 wins I can live with that.
