What record would we need to get Gameday?

No, most if you guys are right. The highest tv ratings for college football last season were Alabama #1 and Tennessee, I think #8 . I'm sure ESPN who are ratings driven . Wouldn't want to come to Knoxville. If TN had pulled an upset or two. ESPN may hate us !!! But they are all about ratings .

They may show up just to witness the meltdown in Knoxville when Bama whips us stupid with Lane calling their plays.

ha... you guys crack me up.

They don't understand that outside of Knoxville, most don't even care about the 3rd(4th) Saturday anymore. Hell, it stopped being important when they stopped having it on the 3rd Saturday

It may come back if we get better. Right now, its just another annual ass beating from Bama

If we start out 4-0, Espn might consider us due to our first 4 games. We play Oklahoma, (Suger Bowl winners) Utah State, (They won their bowl) Arkansas State, (decent) and Georgia, (Made a bowl, but we can beat them.) Oklahoma will be our only real challenge, and Georgia, from last year, we know we can beat them.

We'd have to beat OU to get gameday for the Bama game

*edit* by that I mean, OU beat Bama in the bowl game so even if we had lost a few games prior to playing Bama BUT had defeated OU @ Norman, ESPN would put Bama on upset alert and possibly have gameday here. Short of that, unless we're undefeated or 1 loss team I don't see it happening. JMHO :hi:
