What seed will Tennessee be in the NCAA Tournament?

I don't expect a lot out of this team in Nasvhille, so I say a 4 seed. I think they have played their way as of right now, and I don't expect improvement in the tournament. I could be wrong, but the Vols have never given me many reasons to expect a lot out of post-season SEC play.

Solidly a #4 right now unless we lose to LSU.

If we make it to the SEC Championship Game, I'd say a #3, although I wouldn't make any bets on it.

2-5 depending on the SECT.

2: We'd have to take down UK in the semi's and Vandy in the finals. If we did, I think we would play our way into that seed.
3: Win the SECT without playing Vandy or lose to Vandy after beating UK in the semis
4: Lose to UK
5: Lose to Ole Miss

I feel like we're locked into at least a 5, barring a loss to LSU.

I don't know about falling to a 5 seed after losing to Ole Miss. I'd still say we're a 4 seed there.

I agree with the rest of it, though.

I think its odd that that you think we are a 5 seed when every expert on ESPN/CBS has us at a 3 or 4.Then again I might be wrong.

Rather be a 3 or 6 seed than a 4 or 5. Really tough to advance past Sweet 16 when you have to beat the #1 seed.

LSU is what they call a "Horrendous Loss". Not that I would freak out, but I think the committee might look at 2-14 and be concerned.

I think at worst we're looking at a 5 seed. If we beat LSU, we are a 4. Beating Ole Miss keeps us at a 4. Beat KY and we get a 3 regardless of what happens in the Champ game. If we win the champ game and some teams ahead of us loose, we could possibly pull out a 2 seed, but I see that being highly doubtful.

I think that Pearl and Tennessee are finally beginning to get some much deserved respect, therefore I cannot see the Vols slipping to less than a 4, with the possibility of a 2 if they win the SECT. :clapping:

Probably going to get a 4. I don't like the fact Ole Piss gets to set around and watch us cream LSU. If they make it past Ole Miss, then they could get a 3 depending on how some other teams finish their conference tourneys.

Agree!!! Would love to be a 6 in the east. But think we are a 4 with a win vs. LSU... RPI is 16 or so.. No way we are less than a 4 with the Kansas, Kentucky and Purdue games on our resume'... JMO

4 - Unless we exit first game vs. LSU. 3 - If we happen to win the SEC.

A 3 if we win the sec tournament. A 4 if we win more than one game. A 5 if we lose or win only one game.
