What should be improved?

Facts are stubborn things. Huge upgrades in talent. Huge downgrade in experience and physical development. Draw your own conclusions. Our boys will be playing against their men---this season.

Those players that y'all are pining over were below par as a group, and individually in some cases. I will take an upgrade in talent over your experience and below par talent every day of the week.

The RB position should be improved, I mean rotation Lane, Hurd, and Scott. They will/should be fresh a lot of the time, giving them more explosive runs and hopefully keeping our Offense on the field longer to give our depleted/young D-line time to rest.

I think we will be better than the "experts" are giving us credit for. But again I'm a glass half full kind of guy.

I certainly hope our special teams, especially coverage against punt returns and kickoff returns, will be improved!

Also, I hope Darr pulls a Palardy his senior year.

I agree 100% for the future, but it depends upon the degree of upgrade of talent and the degree of downgrade in experience to say which I would take right now. (if that makes sense). I am just not sure the talent upgrade, at least at the first part of the season, will make up for the lack of experience. Hopefully it does, but men will have an advantage over boys in most cases.

Add in the problem of lack of depth, the talent upgrade could fizzle quickly later in the season.

All the hyped players are very very young..., scary

They are very young, but they do not have the 'STINK OF DOOLS" on them that taught them how to find ways to lose. These incoming freshman are young, underweight, not as strong as their older SEC counter parts and not ready for the level of competition that awaits them at the college level, but most of these kids come in expecting to win. They win play their azzes off for CBJ. They will take their lumps this year but I think they will surprise us, in a good way, at least once this year with an unexpected win. Then next year we will be heading back to the top of the East.

probably improvement at just about all positions except OL--- I know our D line will be new, but I wasn't really impressed with them last year. how many games did we see where there seemed to be Zero push.... I don't think it will be any worse-- just inexperienced, but more raw talent. Hope Croom and others are no longer listed as "projects needing time to develop" and are ready to step up and make an instant impact/upgrade for the team.

Not sure how it could get worse. Last year's DL couldn't stop the run and couldn't get any pressure on the QB much less record any sacks.

Our DEs should be much improved, LBs are a large question, nickle should be better, S play better, concern at CB opposite Sutton...... it's gonna be a long, long year unless we wind up with 3-4 freshmen All Americans which, of course, ain't likely.

Last year's DL was better than the previous year's DL so there is room for getting worse..

I really don't know who left and who came besides having a fresh new O-line, so I'm giving them some slack if they give up a sack.

Where should we see improvement from last year?

Approvement in your threads would be welcomed, but we understand!!! Anyone who calls themselves "Dougie" needs to be taken with a grain of salt, lmfao!!!!!!

I'd love to hear someone make an argument that QB,RB,WR,LB,DB,S will NOT be better. They will be, and that's a lot of position groups to have improved.

On the Oline you have Marcus Jackson, who is a starter, has started in the past. I think we have solid starters there, we just can't afford injury.

DE is fine, DT is the scary question mark. Overall IMO we are a win better. 6-6 then we get a mediocre bowl opponent 7-6.

I think every position will be better some have already had 1 year of butchs system some ees got a taste in the spring. the others will only be more help. the first 2 games they play will give them all a little experience the new guys then will know what to expect and learn from them to play better against better competition and guys im still expecting an 8 or 9 win season.

Skill positions will be much better. Rb and wr should be much improved. The lbs and secondary should get a tad better. Qbs should be better because of more time in the system as long as the oline is not a disaster.

We move up to SEC top 5 secondary when TK2, Berrys, Gaulden, Mosely and Randolph all get to gelling. I think Coleman will do good at NB.

If Maggitt comes back to full strength, our LBs could be SEC top 5 as well.

Our four best RBs should be SEC top 5 compared to other teams best four.

DL will start out behind last years squad but finish slightly better.

WR's will be at least top three in SEC.

Oline is a big question mark but if we get LT figured out and Coleman Thomas continues to get better, we will be fine.

TE we go from bottom two in SEC to at least top 6 or 7 in SEC.

QBs will be better but obviously we lose some depth which is concerning with OL questions. At best we are mid-pack unless someone makes big strides this year which is possible considering WR depth.

Special teams coverage will be much better and faster. Punters and PK are not proven yet...except Brodus. Return men should be as good to better with Devrin, and new speedsters.

No coaching turnover, no new schemes to learn. Thank You!!!

Same ol toughest in the nation schedule.

Granted, the experience factor makes things look bleak.

However, the hope is the new blood will prove to be more mobile than those we lost from last year.

The true key to these inexperienced guys being an improvement is how hard they have worked, and how quick they learn and function within the system. Most of the outgoing guys had their confidence beaten to hell during the Drooley years. I hope the new "individuals" do not have that issue.

These individual individuals must individualize their individuality. (Someone send that line to Jones. I am trying to out-do him on his favorite word.)

Where should we see improvement from last year?

The passing game will be much improved. Like a lot have pointed out - Worley and the freshman struggled in chemistry department with the receivers.

The WRs were often out of position and pushed off their routes and disconnected from the ball if it did get there on time.

This is easily fixed and shouldn't be a problem this year.

I think the passing game will be designed to take pressure off the OLine. A lot of quick release routes and screens so they don't have to hold blocks for an excessive amount of time.

DT is by far the scariest position.

In general terms: The D has nowhere to go but up and the O should equal last year's production.

Every position will be upgraded this year. For every senior that left, his replacement is a better football player.

Talent wise.. maybe. But you can not overstate how much experience plays a role.. the problem being the seniors before these guys had a different coach every single year they played.

We will see.........
