Wilson invaded Europe in WWI when the US hadn't been attacked. Wilson was a democrat. 116,000 US deaths.

Roosevelt invaded Europe in WWII when the US hadn't been attacked. (Japan is a long way from Germany) 405,000 US dead.

Truman invaded Korea, who hadn't attacked the US. He was a democrat. 36 thousand US deaths.

Kennedy and Johnson poured hundreds of thousands of men into Vietnam. They were democrats. over 58,000 US soldiers dead.

Since 1980, 5490 US deaths in combat zones/operations which includes the Clinton years (79 total 1992-2000).

a quick check of my math reveals that democrats have needlessly invaded countries resulting in the deaths of over 600,000 US military personnel. Contrast that with Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 43.

Government should bail out financial institutions when management gets too greedy, passing along the bill for their ill judgment and excesses to the U.S. tax payers while allowing the executives who engaged in these activities to get off with millions or billions.

That's the role of government.

But first, government should waive their oversight of said institutions and maintain loaning guidelines that don't pass the market smell test.
