What stuck out the most to me in the press conference

One thing stood out above the rest. His humility. I don't know what it is, but sometimes you genuinely believe someone and sometimes you accept them, but don't really trust them. That was Kiffin to a T, because he was "our" snake. It's nice to see character people running the biggest programs in the Tennessee athletic department. More and more I read about this guy, the more I am extremely happy, as a fan, with the hire.

"It takes talent to win a championship, but it takes character to repeat," said John Wooden. Imagine what he would think about falling short of the title then bailing.

It's funny because his teams cheated in recruiting way more than Cal ever has.

My favorite part was when Coach Martin mentioned his cancer battle. He didn't say "when I got cancer", he said "me and my wife had cancer". Interesting choice of words, no selfishness whatsoever. As we know Cancer doesn't just affect the patient themselves, it affects the entire family. Coach Martin is winning me over. I feel like he's already won over all the players as well, he seems very genuine. GO VOLS!!!!!!

Coach Martin is a winner. He has overcome adversity and succeeded throught his life. I have a feeling he is going to do the same with our basketball program. I'm looking forward to him being our coach, hopefully for a long time.

Completely untrue. Some booster gave players stuff AFTER they were on campus, and Wooden kept telling them not to hang out with him. Not particularly good, but not in the ballpark with Calimari, who keeps leaving programs once he's messed them over.

Phillip Jurick 1 and done.

I think one and done are players who go to the pros after they play the required 1 year in college. Not kids who transfer from one school to another. Personally I think it is awful to deprive a kid of the chance to make millions in the pros. What the hell give some a--hole the right to to interfer with a kids career. They pretend it is because a lot of kids ruined their elgibility by declaring early and not being drafted. If that were true they should simply change the rule and if the kid came out and didn't get drafted he should then be eligible for college, that would help the kid.

I wasn't saying "1 and done" from this University. Sorry for that mis-clarification. I was just talking in general. I don't like how that's played out. I like that he wants to build a foundation. Should've been more clear.. My bad.

I really enjoyed his mention of how he was looking for players that were looking for 4 years of play.

I'm tired of "1 and done" situations.

First, the highlighted part of your text has never happened to UT. Harris may be the first, but it's not even Martin's recruit.

Second, I just want Martin to go after the best players who fit our needs and won't be problems on or off the court. I want to win, so that means getting the best players possible. If they go "1 and done," that's fine as long as they represent UT well.
