The greatest game played at Kyle Field since November 28, 1975 will occur this coming September 14, 2013. I feel good about our chances.
Regardless of the score, I hope to maintain something I heard Tom Coughlin once say...Strive to be Humble in victory, and Gracious in defeat.
Gig em!
At Kentucky.
Harold "Red" Drew also never lost to Bryant's UK, so what does that prove?
It was actually a golden age for Kentucky Football. Participated in the Cotton Bowl, Orange Bowl, and Cotton bowl during those years. If not for a ****ing 7-0 loss to the Vols in 1950 they would have been national champions. That went to Oklahoma, who UK beat in the Sugar Bowl.

Seems like we've been hearing that for going on three straight years. It's happened in the passing game, but they've hardly been road-graders when it comes to the run.
The golden age for Kentucky football is a fairly average period for just about everyone else in the conference. What Arkansas did under Houston Nutt is equivalent to the golden age of Kentucky football.
So yeah, beating Bryant at Kentucky isn't as significant as Tennessee fans desperately want to believe.
We beat Bryant at bama too.... Tennessee was the reason he went to Darrel Royal and put in a new offense. (And Sam Cunningham too) Yes in the late 60's bama had 3 or 4 mediocre seasons and he had to do something different to keep going. We he put in the option he said we are gonna sink or swim with this offense and you damn sure better make it work. I hate to say the **** worked but y'all are so pompous!!
The major reason for Bama's slide in the late 60s was the schools feet-dragging on integration and the tackle eligible pass being made illegal. Bryant's offense didn't work anymore, particularly the small, quick offensive linemen.

Yeah Bryant said he wasn't gonna be the first to itergrate but wasn't gonna be the third. I have to give it to him, he knew the future was with black athletes and he wanted them at Alabama but the times were so messed up he could had them sooner.
Yeah. A lot of Bama fans like to pretend that Bryant was a huge proponent of integration. He wasn't. I don't think race was a major issue for him. He cared about winning, and if other teams were going to beat him with black players, then there was no way he was going to continue fielding a lily white squad.
