the problem with the ncaa isnt pearl lied and then came clean it is all the so called bb experts and espn personal.yelling for a years suspension and probation for ut .why start with pearl and ut ,did calipari ever get suspended while breaking ncaa rules at every program he has coached or will he get hammerd when he gets discoverd for paying players to come to ky,and what about pitino did he ever get suspended, and what about joe b hall,or eddie sutton, and what about all the coaches that won in the years before my life time ,if anyone thinks kansas,uk,ucla, north carolina won all the games and championships without buying players without paying players to play well then your all fools,i know pearl should not have had hs juniors at his house and he should have known better than to let a pic be taken and when confronted should have come clean right away, but is that worth a year suspension ,i think not.ut has had commits from alot of players that change there mind after several months .of being happy with decision selby for one who for some reason was suspended for first part of season for money he had excepted but then supposedly paid back bull crap, and arron craft who decommitts then goes to osu who ut had beat in sweet sixteen then a pic shows up .

Yes and Calapari is doing nothing wrong getting all these 5* players to go to Kentucky. Boy if the NCAA wants to find something wrong they should go set up in Lexington.

I'm really sick of listening 2 this crap everytime we play on tv. I agree with u, this is and has been blown way out of proportion. He and the team have been punished enough. Had kids over 4 a cook out and gets crucified. You would think he invited them 4 an orgy the way he's been punished.I know he broke the rules and should b punished but enough already.

Actually, Sutton did get caught. Can't remember the player....but I do recall an issue with wads of cash falling out of a FEDEX box. Sutton was pushed out and ushered in the Pitino era.

Once again, bosgap makes more common sense than all the erudite spin-monkeys on VN and ESPN that hate Pearl for their own reasons that have little to do with reality and a lot to do with self-serving egos.

Key point. The answer is no. Not even close. I'm not even sure it deserves an 8 game suspension.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what any of us think the punishment should be. All that matter is what the all-mighty hand of God we refer to as the NCAA thinks when Pearl was at their pearly gates...
