The Monday game is only if "necessary" due to the elimination process.  WEll, great!  Folks over on The DUGOUT were wondering if it was going to be hosted at Smokies Park.  I was going to ask you what it said when you ordered yours.

There is some speculation that if Vols go to a Super Regional it may be paired with Tulane in New Olreans.  Would you be coming to that?  My guess is that if both LSU and Tulane win their regionals this weekend they will be paired again.  The NCAA doesn't usually like to allow 2 schools from the same state in Omaha, unless of course it is from California or Florida!

I have to be honest... this is really the first year i have been seriously into the baseball team (since the Todd Helton days anyway). It's been kind of addicting for me especially since I am now familiar with all the players. I think this team has a legit chance to make some noise.

They look really REALLY good! I felt bad for CRD yesterday. When the game ended he looked so disappointed, and he walked to the outfield all by himself as soon as he congratulated Coach Polk. It was just one of those weird baseball days when every ball they hit went right to the Bulldogs. But MSU is good! They hammered Ole Miss today, and Ole Miss sent Florida packing yesterday. That's baseball for you! Such an exciting sport. ANYTHING can happen at any time!

GEAUX VOLS!

"You won't be sorry! Now you don't have to worry about someone taking your seat when you go buy a HOT DOG or to the men's room or if you want to chat with a friend or anything. And you can arrive 15 minutes before the game and know that you have a nice comfy seat with a chair back to enjoy the games. Besides, you never know who you will be paired with. Two years ago Tulane was at the LSU Regional and they played against UNCW. We all stayed for the Tulane - UNCW game and had about 5000 fans chearing against Tulane! They HATED it and have not forgiven us. You may have the same thing and be glad that you have the extra game tickets! "

Well someone came down and sat in my box seats Wednesday at the Met. Then wanted to tell me how Pat Summitt abuses the refs to gain advantage. Check your pm's.

MSU had some great pitching and some timely hits. Their pitchers really did an outstanding job throughout the tourney though. What was the final today? I never even looked.

Delmonico may have looked disappointed but I really think losing to MSU had it's advantages for us....not that you ever want to lose in your conference tourney.

I saw a little bit of him and I remember following RA Dickey. Just not to the extent that I have recently.

Freak, you didn't follow the Vols when they had Chris Burke? I really liked him!

Anyone check up on Chris lately? Last I heard, he was still on the Astros but playing outfield.

As to the regional, it'll be at LNS. Fox or CSS is covering the first round. Apparently ESPN's CHEAP cameras require more light than LNS has available. Mike Hamilton said last week on Jimmy Hyams show that we had applied for both tournaments and would use the Smokies stadium for the Super if we got it.

I really thought Chris Burke was gonna lead the Vols to CWS victory. Oh well, it was exciting while it lasted.

He nearly did it. OTOH, I was surprised we got past Miami. It was still a great season.

YES, he is very nice, and not nearly as handsome without the shades! I still say he should be the pinup man for Oakley! Right LIO?
