The students would have totally showed up in full if they didn't have to pay for tickets. Oh wait, nevermind

It's the home stretch of the semester on a Wednesday night agaInst a crappy team in the rain. Can't expect the world under those circumstances. The only way I'll ever miss a game is if I have to work...which is what I'm doing tonIght

You didn't go!!! U said in another thread you were doing homework. No?

You missed the sarcasm in my post, as well as the point. What a surprise...

It's a little unrealistic to expect good attendance at a game against a crappy team during this point in the semester. Finals and final assignments are due in the next two weeks and it's crunch time for most.

Well no, but a student in the student section said earlier that there was a whopping 30 of them.....and Knoxville and the surrounding areas hold well more than the 8k that probably showed up tonight. We havent had this problem that past 6 years..............

So the student section has never been small for a horrible opponent the past 6 seasons? Doubtful....

Do u know how dumb you sound? You go to UT not harvard. I just graduated from UT and class never stopped me from going to a game.

talking about attendance, any metro-detroit vol fans here? I just bought tix for the game at oakland and i'm wondering if i'll be the only vol fan in attendance lol. It will be my first vol sporting event ever so i'm beyond pumped for it. Hopefully they show up outside my hometown after a very respectable showing in maui

I don't give a f*** where I go to school, when there are finals and end of the semester work due, students generally don't do much else besides that. Not everyone majors in ceramics....

The attendance at the game was an embarrassment. If fans don't feel the need to support the program, they have no right to criticize anything about the program. KY has a full house if they are playing a high school team. We'll never have the type program all profess to want without fan support for the program.

Unbelievable workload. Truly amazing you're able to keep your head above water in when you're a mighty business major.

I assume your major is Sports Management or something. Its UTK. Its an easy school. It really doesn't matter what you major in. Your probably just not very smart.

Finance homework and 2 projects. HAHAHAHHAHAHA Oh boy!

The level of fail in your post is astounding.

First, I'm not the one who stated that I had finance homework and 2 projects due, that was actually midfielder. How you can't gather that is beyond me, since it is simple reading comprehension.

Next, if you're going to question someone's intelligence (the bolded), you should probably know the correct way to use your/you're in a sentence.

Other than that though, your post was pretty good...

+1. Unless you're a major crammer/procrastinator, 3 hours out of your night once a week isn't going to kill you.

I'm with you man, but I was trying to explain to people that this time in the semester, coupled with the opponent, are pretty logical explanations for the lack of attendance.

I can understand what you're saying here, since it was UL Monroe, however, when I went to UT in the 1980's and we played in Stokely, it was always packed, finals or not. I never missed a game in my 4 years. Plenty of time to study in college, it's not like you go to class for 8-9 hours/day. Bottom line, the student support at UT has been getting worse every year for the past 10 years or so.

I also totally agree with that and like you said, it has been that way for a couple of years now, even during Pearl's tenure. I take issue with people saying that it just started happening and that it's simply because CCM is "boring and unispiring" or the other nonsense I've seen on the forum...
