"Gators find a Leak in Neyland"
...In what was the most anticipated game in Knoxville in years, the Florida Gators up ended the Volunteers 41-24 Saturday night. Chris Leak connected on 19 of 27 passes for 302 yards and 3 TDs. Supplementing Leak was a surprisingly good running attack that accounted for 160 yards on the ground and 2 other scores. The Gators scored a special teams touchdown on the opening kickoff of the 2nd half when Gator wide receiver and kick returner, Jemalle Cornellius took it 97 yards to break open what was a 14-14 tie after the 1st half.
Defensively, the Gators pressured Volunteer quarterback Erik Ainge into numerous mistakes with a strong performance by their defensive line. "Coming in, our #1 goal was to get to their QB", senior DT Marcus Thomas said. "Coach Mattison told us all week long that if we hit the boy and hit him often, we'd win the game. I think we accomplished our goal tonight".
Jesus, will the game just get here!?!?!?!?!
