What would this do for us in Georgia recruiting ?

Here's my realistic to semi-realistic (they've at least publicly shown interest in Vols) 2016 recruiting top 10 wish list:

1a. Nigel Warrior - legacy with 5* talent at position of need.
1b. Mecole Hardman - one of the fastest kids in the whole class and Jones and co. have obviously made him a priority since day one.
3. Tavien Feaster - only one on the list that may be faster than Hardman. Freak at tailback but seems solid to Clemson. He and Hardman on the field together would be like basketball on grass.
4. Joejuan Williams - perhaps top overall in-state player at position of need. Showed out at the Opening.
5. Kyle Davis - 5* talent at position of need. Dominated at the Opening.
6. Nigel Knott - may be the only other guy on the list in the same league as Hardman and Feaster in terms of speed. Perhaps the greatest position of need. Would be higher but seems Ole Miss bound.
7. Derrick Brown - best d-line prospect that we have the best shot at.
8. Rashan Gary - prob the overall best prospect in the whole class. Has at least mentioned us publicly.
9. Landon Dickerson - best o-line prospect that we have the best shot at. Apparently dominates at every camp he goes to. Last top 3 was UT, Auburn, and Va Tech.
10. E. J. Price - next best o-line prospect that we have the best shot at.

Just missed the list: Emmett Gooden (grades apparently), Janarius Robinson, Koron Crump, Jauan Williams (OL), Diondre Overton, Donnie Corley, Nate Craig, Raheem Walker, Marquez Callaway

I wouldn't count us out just yet on Feaster. He was ready to commit on his visit but his mother didn't want him to, so we took Fils-Aime a couple days later. I could see something happening there later in the year.

I'm a very big fan of Janarius Robinson and Donnie Corley. Robinson is going to be a freak. Kyle Davis is going to be a monster for us. Nice list.

Seems like a lateralish move for Stoops

On paper it is, but at USCe, football is king. At UK, football, regardless of any amount of success, will always play second fiddle to basketball.

USCe has a much better recent history of success, and enjoys much better fan support (they sold out every game in an 0-12 season).

Maybe Stoops thinks he can continue UK's upward ascent enough to parlay that into a bigger job than USCe in the near future.

I could be way off but just think if he matures, he will be very successful. Great offensive mind, great recruiter, and would surround himself with a great staff.

Maybe 2 years under saban is what he needed.

Do you realize how big of an "if" you are throwing out? I mean serious, this is Lane Kiffin. Somehow, that name and mature seem strange in the same sentence.

Yeah, go ahead and put Kiffin in charge somewhere. While you are at it, get Bernie Madoff to do your investments.

Hey now. Give Madoff credit. He was excellent at investing other people's money into his own account...well, that is until the whole getting caught thing happened.

I don't understand the fascination with Kirby. Also, why did Pruitt leave FSU for Georgia? My theory is that Mark Richt will be the next SEC coach to leave. Pruitt might see Georgia as a better head coach opportunity since I don't think Jimbo is going anywhere for a while. Replacing Richt wouldn't be as hard of an act to follow as replacing Saban. JMO of course.

Exactly my point. Once he got caught, only an idiot would invest with him. Kiffin as a HC? Nearly as stupid.

A friend who's an FSU fan said rumor was Pruitt was involved with extracurricular activities with a female student at the school.

Suppier leaving USCe might actually be a bad thing in the long run if they get a great hire that turns out to be the next Urban Meyer and they end up being the best in the East and contend for a natty

...................BUT could go the other way and they go back to there ways before joining the SEC and be a mediocre program at best
