I am really curious, I read would could or should have.

Easy to coach a game after the fact.

Limited resources funding, talent and depth.

CBJ has this teams attention and support. CBJ is putting 70 to 80 hours a week in. He is changing players attitude.

This team has not had a real head football coach dedicating the quality time and effort that he has since 2006, so what would you do?

What is nice about this is that he has brought energy back into the team, no quit attitude and players are buying into it...

A great comparison between coaches is to compare body language on sidelines, visions in the coach speak and players, players attitude, and no quit mentality.

Some fans constantly put CBJ in a "catch 22" situation with he needs to do this and that, he does it then he was stupid for doing that and he is not the right coach.

Nobody expected what happen yesterday to happen with Peterman. Yes I expected him to make a mistake or 2 maybe at the wrong time but not 4 in 6 possessions...the odds again worked against us. I think it separates winner from losers.

Only 10 down at halftime. Worley drove the team down the field, our defense was on the field too damn long in the first half.

Our game plan is dictated by talent, depth, recruiting based on needs, injuries and a lack of coaching the last 6 year.

CBJ IS THE ONLY COACH THAT WAS WILLING TO COME INTO AND FIX THIS MESS....

If you can't handled the time and the pain it is going to take then please do the ones that have been around for years a favor and leave...please don't come back because we don't need the BS you bring to the table.

Bottom line Do you want it right or do you want it right now..if you want it right now then move on.

This makes way too much sense for a lot of people.

I completely disagree with this statement:

CBJ IS THE ONLY COACH THAT WAS WILLING TO COME INTO AND FIX THIS MESS....

CBJ realizes that he SHOULD win 7 this year. To think any different is fooling yourself. Anyone that goes to work each day understands that because you put in 80 hours a week that somehow someway your expectations of what is going to happen at the end of the week, month, year are going to MIRACULOUSLY change. They may get better, may get a good bit better, but it isn't going to be miracles. That just isn't how it happens. Could we have beaten FL yesterday? Maybe. I have to believe that CBJ is planning for next year and the year after and the year after.

He should/can win 7 this year. We have 5 opponents that should beat us this year based on talent alone; OR, FL, Bama, GA, and USCjr. The rest we have an even or better shot at winning. He knows this, I know this, many on VN know this. Wake up and get real. He made mistakes yesterday, the team made mistakes yesterday, and the refs made mistakes yesterday that hurt us. At the end of the day, the outcome was as expected.

Get your heads up and get ready for the ride. The next few years are going to be awesome.

I want it done right. Butch will do that, but us fans must give him time. Clearly, our roster is not up to SEC caliber. If he can keep this recruiting class together, this year, then build on that next year, in three years we should be back to competing in the East. But it's not going to happen overnight and it will not happen next year. If you are thinking anything any different, you are insane.

How about now?

We couldn't afford it...Gruden played us...he is fine where it he is and if he wanted to be here he would have negotiated better.... Been here made 4 years...he wasn't willing to take the risks with UT.

We were even played by Charlie Strong......

The only thing is that we were so desperate that we bought into this whole thing...

We have a win win situation with CBJ....he will not let us down....3 years from now when his players are in the system we will not be disappointed.....

Jones will use every resource available to him to make this team achieve and over achieve....he will also not quit. Dooley was overwhelmed and kiffin was just looking for a job used us as a stepping stone....

In case you didn't know this is the same rational fan base that made death threats to a 20 year old kid named Jonathon Crompton.

I know were in a slump but my god when a team trys to give you the win and you want take it. Guys dropping easy catches and some of the poorest tackling I have ever seen. We had a chance if we could of just held on to the damn ball. I don't care what anybody says I know were down on talent but damn just hold on to the ball and catch it. That was ridiculous yesterday. No excuse for not being able to do some of the most basic things in football.

They need to play small ball. CBJ has to play with what he's got. They may have not beat Florida but after the 3rd turnover u have to pull Peterman. When Florida turned the ball over on the botched punt u can't turn around and give it right back. They should have at least got a field goal out of that. Do away with the no huddle and give your defense a rest. The offense stinks so u have to make it up on defense and special teams. They cannot turn the ball over or have penalty's if they want to have a chance in any game!

except for the fact they are not even div 2 athletic quality playing the best defense in the nation

Ace and Gary still think we hired Butch Davis. My gosh, I wish I had their boss at performance appraisal time. These two mess up more and more every year and still stay alive for another year of calling SEC games.

Bottom line Do you want it right or do you want it right now

It's NOT either or proposition. We can have it right now and also right long term. Coaches are not maximizing the potential that's there right now (on offense for sure where they keep insisting on playing spread where we don't have personnel for that - previous staff did not recruit for spread and that is most obvious when you look at QB's but also offensive line - see how much better we played in 4th quarter when they stopped the spread nonsense). This was also problem at Oregon so it's troubling they are not learning from their mistakes.

Within a drive or two, he made the right call. If you are going to give a QB an opportunity, at least give him 20 minutes to get used to the game and get the butterflies out. He can honestly say that he gave Peterman a chance.

I still feel that Fergie is the guy this year.

Are you serious? It sounds like you are.

Gruden wasn't, isn't, ain't, never was, and idden coming to coach this dumpster fire that we call UT Football for a huge pay cut, headache, and hot seat. He's not an idiot.

It was no more likely than Dungee or Saban coming. It was a freaking pipe dream given legs by his wife's alma mater, his alleged real estate in the TN hills, a bunch of delusional posters, and some reporters and their unnamed sources.

Stop it man. Spend your time searching for Bigfoot. I promise it will be more rewarding.

I want us to be competitive right now and able to compete for championships in the future. I don’t see us being competitive right now, but I’m not giving up on CBJ just yet. At the same time, I haven’t been terribly impressed with some of his decisions thus far which is a cause for concern.

You just validated my point......thanks.....

So you believe Bigfoot is real? Lol

I don't know if you have a reading comprehension problem or not but we have the best coach to do the job....it is going to prove itself over the long haul....

Very happy with CBJ......

We are as competitive as we can be at the moment because of talent, depth, injures, experience level, schedule, and fans...
