The Tennessee message boards(along with most others) before 1999 were like the wild west. In those days you pretty much didn't have to be approved to post on message boards and a ton of the most disgusting photos were posted and extreme cussing was pretty much unchecked then.o_O

I know some of us branched out to discover this pre-existing board whenever KNS GoVols.com started charging. I mean, they were woefully lacking before, but then they had the gall to think we would pay for that rubbish. I never looked back. Thanks so much, Freak and crew!

I would like to know that as well I haven't posted there since 2012. My favorite member of VTTW was BlueTickHound and it was sad when he died in I believe 2004.

Except for that one girl that liked racy pics of herself, and she was banned. And tried re-entry under another name but didn't take long to figure out who it was. Would take a little concentration to recall the screen name, but not worth the squinting. We did have a password PG-13 hot pics thread, but that eventually got out of hand. Neither of the 2 have been missed much.

Gather 'round, Vols fans for a tale of trial and error and eventual triumph. In the Summer of 2003, as UT's football season approached, our hero, an inspired youth created a message board for Tennessee alumni and fans. Rightfully, our hero reckoned that so large, loyal, and fervid a fans base would embrace this online message board and make it viable. The notion proved true, and VolNation has been here for us ever since.

Your faithful poster confesses that he was not here at the beginning, and the gist of his report is from others who were. No, friends, I was oblivious to the existence of VN until a Buckeye fan pointed me to it more than a decade after its beginning.
