Sullinger also is an inch taller, shoots FTs 20% better, and can shoot 40% from 3 point range.

I wouldn't say he's taller, He's listed at 6'9" and stokes is supposedly 6'9" now not 8".

Agree about the shooting but stokes is also 2 years younger and that makes GM's drool. They'd believe they could improve his shot and would also love the fact that he's 18 and could still grow.

All my point was, was that I disagree that he has to grow to be a top 5 pick. He's 6'9" and as sullinger is proving you can go top 5 at that height.

I understood your point completely and don't disagree with it. I was just trying to point out that they have different skills at this point. It honestly wouldn't shock me at all if Stokes shows up this year with a three point shot and a much improved FT shooting percentage. Especially considering how hard of a worker he is.

Gotcha, I agree.

Aha! That was it! They (I don't remember who the hell "they" were, buuuut...) said that he should grow to 6'11" based on his shoe size and age.

He could probably get another inch or so. Now if he suddenly becomes 7 feet we know that the good Lord is smiling on our basketball program.

We've got about 5 months before the season starts. They better be feeding that young man some moo juice, imo...

15 and 10 ain't chicken feed. At 6-8, 225, Tristan Thompson was drafted 4th last year averaging 13 and 8. Markieff Morris was 6-9, 245, averaged 14 and 8 and was drafted 13th. Marcus Morris, same size drafted 14th at 17 ppg, 7 rpg; Kahwi Leonard, drafted 15th with 15 and 10;
It's entirely dependent on how he performs next year imo. IF he comes out and is a 20 ppg 10+ rpg player then he is gone for sure because he probably has boosted his stock to top 15. If he has 15 ppg and 10 rpg I think he stays. He's projected late first round right now, and I don't think he'd leave for that.

Well he's projected late first round with those numbers... so I'm just going by what everyone is saying. Those guys got those numbers with better skill sets than Jarnell has right now. That's why they were drafted high.

The difference between 6'8 and 6'9 is not going to keep him from being top 5. That 1 inch isn't going to do anything, its the wingspan that matters at that height. Anyone know Stokes wingspan compared to others who are similar in size who went high in draft?

I was thinking about that last night. I have no idea how to even find that. Although, I'm sure BTO does haha
