Not even sure this counts as "Week 1" ... if it does, we have 16 weeks of regular season football this year, with the Army-Navy game closing it out on Dec 9th.

I think that's a first in modern college football history, 16 weeks in the regular season.

Anyway, I'm calling this Week 1, even though it's kinda paltry offerings. :)

So what games you watching?

Not much to choose from. Five games, total. Only two games involve Power 5 teams (both PAC).

I'd most like to watch U Mass (Ind) hosting Hawaii (6 pm EST). Unfortunately, it's not listed as showing on any channel, according to ESPN's schedule page. Not much interested in the game on its own account, but we do play U Mass in about a month. Think about how far the Hawaii squad is traveling for this game!

Of the other four games, #19 South Florida at San Jose State (7:30 EST, cbssn) has the best chance of being a decent game. On the other hand, neither of them are Power 5 teams....

Nothing else leaps out at me. #14 Stanford is playing, but it's just a tune-up with Rice. Oregon State and Colorado State are probably a fight to the bottom of the barrel.

So I'll probably catch those first two games mentioned, just because I'm so starved of college football.

How about you guys?

I don't have a access to tv when I'm traveling and working on jobs so I'm not gonna get to watch any.

Found this JP.

All of UMass' home games will be live-streamed for free this season
UMass announced a television partnership with Eleven Sports Network, a cable and satellite sports channel formerly known as “One World Sports.” Eleven Sports Network will produce all six of UMass’ home games this year. Each game will be broadcast “on the NESN family of networks,” per a UMass press release.
UMass also plans to stream all six home games for free on its website.
Fans that prefer watching football on their televisions (curse those cord-cutting millennials, right?) can find the Eleven Sports Channel here.

I didn't even realize there were games this week. They don't normally start this early. Albeit, it appears there are only 5 games and Oregon State - Colorado State is probably the only one that would be considered semi-competitive.

I'll be working Saturday as always (although I did take off next Saturday for the first week of the season). This week I've got the 2 PAC games set to record and I'll watch them when I get home.

None of these matchups really do it for me, but like you said we are starved for college football so I'll watch anything.

I'd be interested to see how Charlie Strong looks in his first game without the Longhorns donor bureaucracy gumming up the works. The Stanford game seems like a good game to have on in the background and passively watch as you are doing something else Saturday night. The best 4 months of the year are finally right around the corner

You thinking mayweather shows him how to box or the other way around?

Told a coworker today Mayweather will school him. He said it would be hilarious if Mayweather staggers him and McGregor forgets he's boxing and puts a roundhouse kick against his temple.

Did hear they will be making 36,000 a second.

That should actually be a good game. It's the only one I'm interested in. Unfortunately it will prob be on west coast time.

Correction! Appears it's on at 230 eastern. Sweet.

Heard them talking about it today. About the family of Rocky Marciano saying this shouldn't count towards a win for Floyd because it would break Rocky's record. Saidvit was like the Patriots playing a college team.

But at the same time these Patriots wouldn't play that college team on their home field. If it were an MMA fight Mayweather would have less of a chance than McGregor has in this one.
