I'm fired up to see USF vs. San Jose St at 7:30 EDT on CBSSN...although I had to search my channel lineup to find CBSSN.

Not even sure this counts as "Week 1" ... if it does, we have 16 weeks of regular season football this year, with the Army-Navy game closing it out on Dec 9th.

I think that's a first in modern college football history, 16 weeks in the regular season.

Anyway, I'm calling this Week 1, even though it's kinda paltry offerings. :)

So what games you watching?

Not much to choose from. Five games, total. Only two games involve Power 5 teams (both PAC).

I'd most like to watch U Mass (Ind) hosting Hawaii (6 pm EST). Unfortunately, it's not listed as showing on any channel, according to ESPN's schedule page. Not much interested in the game on its own account, but we do play U Mass in about a month. Think about how far the Hawaii squad is traveling for this game!

Of the other four games, #19 South Florida at San Jose State (7:30 EST, cbssn) has the best chance of being a decent game. On the other hand, neither of them are Power 5 teams....

Nothing else leaps out at me. #14 Stanford is playing, but it's just a tune-up with Rice. Oregon State and Colorado State are probably a fight to the bottom of the barrel.

So I'll probably catch those first two games mentioned, just because I'm so starved of college football.

How about you guys?

The absolute best TV schedule for time and station to look at weekly is an LSU product. But, year in and out it's the best reminder out there.

The Browns have made changes to the defense and will be starting their new QB KIzer tonight against Tampa bay. The cinci tony the tigers tore up Tampa with their new QB last week so I will interested in comparing at 7:30 eastern. Might be a local broadcast though.

Looks like a good one for folks who follow Div II as well. I stick to Div I. Don't even watch the Div II playoffs (probably would if a local team were in it, though).

So I just use ESPN's schedule. Works well for me: http://www.espn.com/college-football/schedule

It's got a little of it all. The classic replay schedule is cool. Radio broadcast for those looking for the homer edition is nice too. Most of all it takes all the confusion out of the season as it updates itself as soon as teams are set.

That was week 1 when no one was playing. Tonight will be more like a real game...for the 1st half at-least.

Colorado St.'s new stadium is nice. Not very big, but it looks good.

Yeah, it sure did. And they showed the locker rooms and other facilities, which also looked really top notch. Same quality level as our own, it appeared. Just not as good, because not orange, haha. :)

Colorado State may be one of the Group of 5 programs on the rise.

I actually thought about going to this game, but I figured USF would blow them out and it is hot as hell down there this weekend. The Spartans taking care of business so far.
